He won't have to...I'm sure you'll bump it for him.

Wanna grab him a beer and rub his balls for him too?

Day might play a big role in that ND game. Our coverage teams have been so bad for so long seeing him out there was huge. I might be missing someone but last coverage guy I remember making an impact was Travis Homer
Just getting Markeith off the coverage team should do wonders. Both kick returner touchdowns last season were missed tackles by Markeith Williams, hopefully the new safety addition Briton Allen replaces him and that should solve that problem.

In the 2024 college football season, the average kickoff return yards per attempt across all FBS teams was approximately 22.4 yards. For context, Miami allowed 22.36 yards per kickoff return during the same season, which is slightly below the national average. Eliminate the two kick returner touch downs and the average is 15.61 yards per return. More touchbacks = less return attempts and less return yards, thus creating a positive return coverage.

Appreciate that info

Little tweaks like that and adding a better return game could pay off big in the grand scheme of the season since we insist on playing close games all the time

Totally agree and having Carter Davis handling kickoffs is going to make a big time difference as well. In 2024, 45 of Davis 61 kickoffs were touchbacks, that’s 74%, on the other hand Andres Borregales, and Abram Murray combined only had 65% of their kickoffs becoming touchbacks.

Replacing Williams with Allen and Borregales & Murray with Davis will be upgraded.

Just those two changes alone should drastically improve the kickoff coverage team. Some of these under celebrated portal additions could be the difference in a lot of games this season. I fully expect this team to have one of the best special teams units in the nation.

I don’t even care about kickoffs man just put it out the endzone. I’m shook from last year. I don’t even care. Give them the ball at the 25 and let’s play

i was with u until the bolded.

GETTING INTO THE POWER 2 DOESNT CHANGE MUCH FOR MIAMI.

The kids that will be coming here will be coming here for MIAMI...not because of an sec or big 10 patch on the jerseys.

I think it matters. When these battles are close, we need as much of an edge as possible. The opportunity to play in big games/ iconic stadiums week in, week out helps narrow the gap.

Another Killer looking to be a jokobe thomas clone with range great instincts and knockout power when engaging with ball carriers and receivers. The type receivers look for instead of the ball coming across the middle of the field. One highlight he knocks a kid helmet off and the team think its the ball 🤣🤣🤣🤣
