The Restaurant trade in Orlando isn't much to Hoot and Holler about...aside from a few really good places...I'm an Executive Corp Chef here in Central Fl....have Chef friends all over the state...However, there are a couple of places I truly treasure....

Whats your picks? i live in altamonte springs. Some of my CFL favorites are

fat snook satellite beach
ravenous pig winter park
armandos winter park
soco baldwin park
Luma winter park

Luma is good....I'm friends with owners of Ravenous Pig (Husband/Wife Chef team)...one of, if not my favorite places...

As far as Seafood...I just go to Lombardi's Fresh Seafood in Winter Park, and bring it home and cook....LoL
I'm not a Red Lobster kinda guy....I mean we live in Fl....Why go to a Rest that serves Frozen Seafood??

Katz's is very Tourist-y....Used to be better....Just like Lombardi's Pizza....
orlando, Texas ? bar-b-que capitol of planet earth, memphis pales. Lotta places you can have a brisket sandwich, and 2 days ago that beef was grazing in a pasture on good green grass.

its pretty common here to have 100 head or so, like money in the bank, lookin at getting me a little herd goin soon

I had some supreme BBQ in Dallas but I can't remember the name of the place.. Just some little side of the road joint.
your right there CD, you can walk in a little convenience store and they will have a pit going out back running on red oak and cooking some killer stuff and selling sandwiches, no need for any sauce either. If you have to add sauce it fail's the test

Has anyone tried this place? If so how was it, please provide a review.

I am considering going but it's about a 50 minute ride and if it's not worth it i would like to know. The reviews online have been 50/50.

Go Canes

Respect for the fat snook mention. Nobody knows about that place. Great food, great wine and great experience.

Just a standard mid level place within a middle class neighborhood. (Took over a golf course clubhouse). Bar food and actually decent pizza

Ate there a few times, when it was called Taverna but just recently went on the 13th for a bday party and was told BM owned it now. Wore my canes gear didn't see BM but Mike's Old Fashioned was legit. Wasn't the same menu but they still had the coal fired pizza.

Yes. Parents live in the neighborhood. Easy casual place when you gotta lug along small kids. Not a lot of options in Apopka at all. Meriweather around a lot. He’s still a big dude

Yep my boss lives in that neighborhood, he got my Canes helmet signed by BM there. Said he’s a nice dude very approachable but food is okay and service isnt very good. But like Canesmh said Brandon is usually there
