Former Auburn & Houston transfer DB Keionte Scott commits to Miami

Miami has picked up another defensive back through the transfer portal.

On Tuesday afternoon, Former Auburn and Houston defensive back Keiontee Scott committed to the Miami Hurricanes. He will come to Coral Gables with one more year of eligibility after playing three seasons with Auburn.

Scott moved to Auburn from Snow College, a JUCO college, in 2022 and quickly made an impact in the Tigers' secondary. Over three seasons with the Tigers, he racked up 118 total tackles...

With all the people we brought in and the ones that remained, a couple of these guys have to pan out right?

The two most disappointing positions have been WR/DB. We have brought in so many four stars and none have really lived up to their ranking (I know we’ve had some success like Kitchens but I’m talking about a first round talent like Bama, Georgia, and OSU have had).

He's been a very good nickel CB. Made some all-SEC teams playing that role.

He struggled as an outside CB in 2024.

We need a true nickel, so he's a good pickup for what our defense lacks
