What other team in CFB spends the 90% of the game in same formation & personell grouping? Plus, never utilizes a motion?

Yeah its really vanilla. Don't know if it's because of the qb or because of the play calling

Wisky does nothing really all that exotic but I did notice that Chryst utilized some 'jet' motion and it helped create some running lanes inside and some diversion.

Miami has a very static approach to things. I guess Richt believes at a certain point it just comes down to talent.

Every play seemed to be starting out in pistol , then the rb moves up to line up next to the qb. Unless it was the 50 wildcat runs. We've run the wildcat a ton the last 4-5 weeks and not one play/trickery off that action. If Dallas is in wildcat defenses kniw there's no chance of anything but what they seen on film. There's literally no creativity. That's just one of the examples of why people gripe about creativity with the offense.

I don’t believe we saw a single new play or wrinkle. It’s the same **** with our Offense over and over. Somebody needs to get in Richt’s ear and tell him misdirections, motion, reverses, anything outside the RPO, etc, are allowed. So frustrating.

Where have you gone Gary Stevens!?!?!

Imagine a little imagination from our OC/head coach like maybe dj throwing the ball from the wildcat one time. After the wildcat work for like 4 plays, they adjusted and we didn't. Kept doing the same **** over and over and over.

LOL, he was Miami OC/QB coach during the QB U days with Howard and then Schnelly. He was/is my favorite coordinator ever at Miami, really ahead of the curve when it came to the passing game. I had a chance to talk to Steve Walsh one time and he basically said once Stevens left the program in 89, it was a huge factor in him declaring for the NFL supplemental draft. I've talked to a few players from that era who spoke very highly of him as a tactician and coach

We let them stay in their base the whole game. Also he never utilizes the middle of the field but that could be because Rosier blows super bad

this ****ed me off to no end. it cost us a motion penalty and frankly i saw 2 more times it could have been called. whats the ******* point? to not let the defense set their lb's before the snap? i never, and i mean never saw the defense adjust or shift or look confused because of that little maneuver. i'm still in richt's camp. barely. but if thats his idea of shifting to confuse the defense then the game really has passed him by.

also, this is why i want a coach on the offensive side up in the booth that isn't a richt yes man that has the balls to call down and tell him to stop that ****.

I know lol, I just figured you'd appreciate that. We don't need Stevens , we have John " the qb whisperer " Richt

HA!! Ya got me!!

Wisconsin had vastly superior offensive formations and scheme. Gorgeous to watch, in comparison to our mush.

Every time we have a short yardage play or run a play from inside the 10 I'm thinking it would be preferable to be further away. At least that shrinks our stupid playbook and we're forced to throw decisively downfield...where good things happen.

I am going to laugh at every offseason syllable in praise of the RPO, just like I'll always laugh at Mike Leach.

Still can't believe how simple our offense is makes it so easy for a defense guy to scheme against us we only run 5 plays. Right is way to predictable no motions or mixing up formations it's tough to watch

Dallas had eight carries for 65 yards out of the wildcat. How can anyone complain about that? If we asked him to throw on a trick play and it was intercepted you'd be the same one crying about it.

I agree that the offense needs better formations, route trees, and running plays. But I certainly don't see how not throwing out of the wildcat formation was a problem.

maybe my biggest question regarding richt's offense. I don't get it. and we can't get answers because our local media never asks. maybe we can get Brooklyndee to find out what the deal is.

Odd isnt it?....Look no further than your Qb.....cuz you see when you motion its changes the pre-snap read of the defense and your qb has a hard time adjust to the new "look" on the fly.....thus you have no kind of motion or anything done by the offense

I don't think throwing out of wildcat is only option. Using jet sweep action or even having another back in backfield to option to out of wildcat would have been nice to see.
