For those absolving Mario and the staff...

We lost to MTSU and people here think it’s a culture or that we don’t have enough talent. Absolutely hysterical.
We also struck out with our transfers. The guys we brought in are JAGs.

At this point I don't know who to blame. The players/ coaches/ s&c/ fans/ the city. Idk all I know is we suck for some odd reason even with some talent but teams with way less do way more. I'll never understand, maybe it's the distractions and not being in a podunk town where all they think about is ball. I've accepted we will always be a mid p5 program.

Not sure where the playoff argument stems from. Now did we reasonably expect to compete for the Coastal and win it? Guilty as charged. The playoff talk is embellishing to the Nth degree to make an argument.

I'm as disappointed as any other fan to see us blow three winnable games already. It's ridiculous. But never once thought we would be playoff contenders.
 
Which key portal transfers were missed? Don’t say Addison. There was ZERO chance he was coming to Miami or romany other school not named Southern Cal.

Were there other stars who wanted to come to Miami, but Mario rejected? Who?

Not absolving Mario and the staff. Clearly mistakes have been made.

GT will beat us too. dont worry. we aren't even mid. youre just being an apologist for what has been horrific coaching so far. Mario is here for the decade so its gonna up to the OC/DC changes that are coming to see if it turns around. hes already struggling attracting elite skill talent here.

I agree, I hope that he's willing to adapt to the personnel we have and not just try to run his idealistic view of what an offense should be. I could see that being his downfall if he doesnt adapt.

he already said he wanted to run more. hes got no feel for the game and it shows in their play calling too. hes who he is. **** recruit at a high level so im hopeful the talent will just make up for his dumb decision making

I'm personally not firing anybody on the staff yet and understand Mario has and will have as much job security as any coach in CFB. That said, with the change in transfer rules and the fact that Mario & Co. had plenty of time to evaluate what was left in the cupboard for them- is it reasonable to just blame the players? Good coaches do wayyyy more with wayyyyy less every Saturday. Good coaches also immediately change "culture" issues too.

I’d say Parrish, Jackson, and Mesidor have been pretty good. Porter has been better lately, same with Ladson. Young played good when given the opportunity today.

I think the bigger issue is the fanbase, myself included, may have over valued this roster. Mario hasn’t done his best coaching, but I wasn’t expecting some X’s & O’s savant. I’m more worried the persistent culture is still lingering. Maybe as the season progresses we will some purging begin.

We're going to have to be able to pick up 2 yards on the ground going forward. If we can't, we're even more ****ed then we think

do you see what duke was and what they are now. they were worse than tech last year. they are already better than they were. also Brent key beat Pitt the coastal champs last week. it was unquestionable that former Mario staffer Geoff collins was a horrific HC. those kids are playing for Brent key right now

Bethune from UCF. Verse from Albany would have helped. Oregon corner would have helped.

There were a few that would have helped no doubt.

Those were costly plays that led to a flat out loss against a quality UNC team who had been dropping huge numbers on teams
 
Failed to maximize the portal. A recruiting class outside the top 10 would also be a failure.
