For the poor and suffering dolphin fans on the board

I will also add that Tanneyhill was never the answer. They made a mistake in drafting him and an even bigger mistake in re-upping him. The guy is simply not the answer to take your team to the playoffs consistently.

Yup, they should've taken RG III....look I get that he's a little bit above average but there's probably 17-18 teams that probably wish they had him. You guys want Dan Marino and he'll never will be Dan but he's the best since.

RG3? Makes no sense.

Nobody said they expect a Dan Marino. But, when you hitch your franchise to a guy that dabbled as a WR when he first got to college, you're doomed for failure.

Anyway, it's a recurring theme with the organization - you had an owner who was great for a while but then placed the franchise of general managers who were incompetent fools and now you have an owner who has no clue how to run a franchise and meddles too much.

Par for the course for the fins.

Dolphins management has been operating as if they are one player away for way too long.
They focus on winning the first day on free agency instead of building a team for the long haul.
Roster issues never get solved.

You're absolutely right.

instead of winning the offseason by signing reliable and quality vets on each side of the ball, they like getting the "big fish". **They signed their starting RG and FS(decent player in Detroit), drafted the best OL in the draft, drafted a CB, signed Mario Williams who wasn't used right in NY, and Kiko Alosno as you said** They go out, spend all that money on the super studs of the world like Mike Wallace or trade for Byron Maxwell but they never get quality linemen, a viable TE, Corners, or linebackers...and they won't draft them early either. Think about it, our best acquisition was Kiko Alonso and he's playing above average at best

This is where I'm going to have to disagree. Besides Suh, who have the Dolphins thrown big money at since 2015? Although I don't like Tannebaum, he's played it smart by doing exactly what you said.

They drafted a tackle to play guard which isn't working like I predicted, Jermon Bushrod has been hurt for 2 straight years before this season and is also not playing well, Xavien Howard is the first CB taken early in 5 years, Isa Abdul Quddas was a SS in Detroit, Mario Williams is a dominant player but isn't the same Mario. Again only positive from the offseason is kiko

Tannehill is the king of garbage time stats. Grow some balls, draft a QB in the top 10 who didn't play WR in college.

Been a Dolphins fan since the late 70s, and I have to say, I don't give a crap about them anymore.

Was in OB for their opening kickoff every single game of Perfect Season, home and away. BUT why would you ruin our Cane buzz with the pile of crap the Fins have become.

People always complain about coaches need talent. Here is what I need from coaches, make the team better than the sum of its parts. Same problem that I jad with Golden. If you need a team full of stars to win, you're a bad coach. I'll hold out judgement on Gase. I wanna see a well prepared team.

I'm glad Zbrod95 started this thread. It's maddening. If you want to see the difference between winners and losers, the Dolphins have 4 1st rounders on their Oline and still can't get it right, plus they cut the 3rd rounder from 2 years ago. Today, the Patriots started rookie 3rd and 6th rounders on the Oline.

Does Ross meddle??? I thought he just wrote big checks and made horrendous football hiring decisions.

LOL, just LOL @ you if you still get emotional about the Dolphins.

This **** isn't ending any time soon, watch and laugh like I do.

This. People need to put things in context. Yes there were fumbles and other things that exacerbated the situation but Miami struggles principally because Tannehill is too inconsistent. He is either Ice or fire. He doesn't have natural instincts. He has poor accuracy that always seems to manifest once or twice in a drive to sabotage a good play call. Part of the reason the Dolphins struggle to run is because he can't consistently put defenses on their heels with the intermediate and deep passing game.

The Dolphins will never win anything of importance so long as Trannyhill is the QB. Yes they have other issues but the WR that we are lining up in the QB spot is the largest and most glaring one.

Ah, don't have to be poor and suffering anymore, Ross' inaction on scenes like this:

dolphins-091816-ap-ftrjpg_xp91x66n5cbl1r6kvjivqy7be.webp

sealed the deal for me.

Glad the World Cup of Hockey is on...They have no problem standing for multiple anthems.

Why are you wasting time watching them play? It was a beautiful day. Go outside and stop letting this team hold you hostage.

Yep! Good teams never win the first day of free agency . They don't even participate. They wait and they get value. Something the dolphins don't understand. Good teams understand the draft and have the patience to build through.

Ross doesn't meddle, however he is god awful at hiring people, especially at the top of the organization.

Per Pro Football Focus:

Quarterback grade: Ryan Tannehill, 85.9

Tannehill sharp with short passes

Tannehill earned the highest game grade of any Dolphin.

Of course Football is only a game of 2 quarters according to some of you. You should stop playing if your are down a few scores.

Any stats accumulated while trailing shouldn't count.

Tannehill starts the 2nd half 20-21 for around 280 yards and 2 TD's. (Tannehill sucks)

The LOLphins can't run the ball(Tannehills fault), can't stop the run(Tannehill's fault), makes Jimmy G. look like Tom brady (Tannehill's fault), has a Center who snaps the ball 2O YARDS DOWNFIELD (Tannehill's fault), had 2 crucial fumbles (Tannehill's fault), and has a coach that misues timeout's late (Tannehill's fault of course!).

The problem with the Dolphins is the same problem with most NFL teams that are consistently bad….the recycling of mediocre coaches and executives.

The NFL is pure nepotism.
