For sure gone, likely gone, up in the air

If this is the case, how can we build a stable porgram? We can't have a revolving door or starters and coaches, and expect anything of signifigance.

The best path for a strong 2024 is returning starters and key backups if they aren't going too 100 picks of the draft.

These guys should/could portal:

Cyrus Moss
Jon Denis
Logan S
Zion
Chaney
Cam
Jacurri/TVD
Flagg
Chantz
Redding
Horton
Balam
Chris Washington

Seniors:
Couch
K. Smith
Deen
Davis
Lichtenstein
Ladson

NFL draft:
Cohen
Williams
Taylor
Kam

Decisions:
Lee
Rivera
I would add Henry Parrish to your list.

Many will go out, many will come in. The key is having a better roster when the dust settles. Enjoy the ride.
What are your thoughts on the 2022 and 2023 portal additions as a whole? Do you have confidence that the roster will be better?

Problem with this is that means you need to balance it out by having good coaching that consistently does more with less. We don’t have that so if you’re losing your top players and simply replacing them without stacking more then you’re just perpetually good but not getting over the hump. We need a crazy amount of talent to overcome some of our coaching shortcomings.
This is not wrong and Mario has to improve but, luckily for us, we don’t have to play those unlimited resources programs in the foreseeable future so we can still out-talent basically all the teams on our schedule.

We have done well in the Portal. We need to start doing great and land first round difference-makers like FSU and USC have done. That’s the next level.
Agreed here. Ended up that some of the kids we really wanted didn’t really make much of an impact but we need to find 1-2 real difference makers outside of the obvious at QB.

I believe we will get better players and be deeper when its all said and done. But can we agree this QB decision will be Cristobals biggest decision of them all? There are not many QB needy teams this time around in the portal. If the staff decides to get a mediocre QB option this will ruin whatever team we end up fielding. We need a home run QB from the portal. There should be no excuses for next year. Evaluate and choose the best QB available not mediocrity or due to "miami connections"

Every elite new coach grabbed someone from the portal and hit a home run to turn around their program... Penix in Washington, Jayden Daniels in LSU, Bo Nix at Oregon.

This is the make and break decision of the program and of cristobals tenure here with the program

What? Washington, Fsu, uF, LSU, UNC, USC, Oregon, Oklahoma just to name a few.

Logical list. I hope we do everything we can to convince Rivers, Lee and JHH (not mentioned above) to return. I personally don't want to see Chaney or Chris Washington transfer, and I hope JT can get Moss' S&C right.

Other guys I worry about -- the Washington brothers, Citizen, Chase Smith, Skinner. We need their talent on our roster, just have to find roles for them.

We really need to be pushing out 5-10 backups to make room, including several of the names listed above. Given Covid, most of them have more than enough credits to graduate so it's not even an issue of bidirectional commitment at this point.

What? Washington, Fsu, uF, LSU, UNC, USC, Oregon, Oklahoma just to name a few.
What?
Uf is sticking with Mertz, LSU has nussmeir that they promised him the starting job, OU has jackson arnold, USC has malachi nelson. Do you even watch College football?

The only QB needy teams with money are going to be FSU (unknown since they like rodemaker and brock glenn), Oregon, Auburn and Washington.
