For Fyzical Types Only

The height difference outside concerns me against FSU. I really thought the Brown brothers would be further along by now. That’s the game we really needed their size (pause).
A&M had a 6'7 WR as well. We neutralized him. Trust in Guidry. Also, if you noticed they put a lot of faith in 22. He only got beat 1 out of 3 times on the long jump ball. He is small but feisty. We will have to allow our corners to win 1 on 1 battles because the safeties will need to stay in middle of field to help neutralize QB run.

Admittedly, this is the best way to beat FSU. A Duke-type of approach where before Leonard was hurt, they brought physicality in the running game, which in turn opened up the pass. Their DLine can be pushed around. While Leonard was still in, they had two drives in particular of close to seven minutes, keeping FSU’s offense off the field. Unfortunately, they only mustered 3 points on those drives.

Defensively, have to bring pressure because FSU is always looking for the splash play, and our corners have legit 5-6 inch disadvantages against Coleman and Wilson. Make Travis uncomfortable in the pocket.
Kam better keep his *** back or Travis will scramble and hurt us with WR getting behind our safeties.

Yup. Davis/Couch on those guys is a mismatch. Need DP to be an eraser. Based on Guidry's tendancies, I think he will throw Davis out there and let FSU try and beat us. Then when they start beating DAvis/Couch, then Guidry will adjust. He admitted much for the Clemson game.

I think FSU on offense poses challenges that can expose our weaknesses - physical/big WRs, very mobile QB, etc. It will make the job that much harder on our defense if their running game gets going. While we are adept against the run, Turner does a nice job getting the RB involved in the run/pass game.
I haven't seen that toafili kid get Tackled for a loss yet.

Dude is an unsung part of that offense.

As much as people joke about the fizical stuff

"Bro Ball" was probably the only thing that saved us Saturday night...

Need balance…And I think we will have that moving forward. It's not like CMC is out here moving us towards Paul Chryst Wisconsin ball.

I see that point, but when you make them respect the passing game it opens the running game up even more. They literally dared us to throw the ball most of the time.

What I'm getting at is that wasn't the only gameplan that would've worked.

And we couldn't imo

Inexperienced QB…Excellent Clemson secondary. And if there was that opportunity early, the point is…We couldn't risk it late and we were stone out of options or season was dust.

If it isn't obvious by now that Davonte Brown is a serious liability in man coverage then I don't know what to say.

Damari is a true freshman but has great potential and should get serious burn next year.

with our defensive front being thinned out, one way to mitigate that is to control the ball and keep them off the field. But with that approach, you still have to be willing to take some deep vertical shots and hit explosive plays
