For all the mopes that like to bash Mario:

Nope. I had arguments with Paul Dee about Butch. I wanted him fired. You forget about how VT embarrassed him. He NEVER won a ring as a HC. NEVER . And the day after he left, Paul sent me an email saying simply, “You were right.” Butch could evaluate, and he could recruit. He was a very poor game coach. He went to a league where he had equal talent and got embarrassed. That’s not the goat.

So far Mario has lived up to part of his reputation-he is a poor game coach. He brought us 5-7 which is two games worse than got Manny fired. And he has gotten us to a top 20 recruiting class! Oh great, that is also poorer than Manny got us…….I hope we go 15-0 this year, but we all know that will not happen so I just pray we don’t get embarrassed by FSU, Duke, and Temple………oh and it would be nice if our QB recruit could become the starter for his HS team…….
What’s your secret to this energy at your age? Do you take those fruits and veggies supps I always see advertised?

The “mopes living in reality” want Mario and Miami to fail bc he knows what it takes to build an elite cfb program and that offended them… but the same ones were Manny Diaz dck riders to the final hour. 🤡 :diaf:
This is such a stupid statement. Miami fans want Miami to win. Period. But, we know why Mario was hired-allegedly he could recruit at an elite level AND because he was friends with a few wealthy boosters. Instead of conducting a fair search for the very best coach we could hire, we had a class reunion party. If you want to see what we see, look at Tennessee or USCe. Their trac is up, way, way up. Mario, who “knows what it takes” is losing to **** teams and cannot land players needed to winning at a top 10 level. Heck, he got ZERO fricking votes for the top 25. Apparently not everyone wants to, in your words, ride his Richard……….

I rarely voice my own opinions on here, but I simply cannot stand how about half of this board continually bashes Mario. These mopey dopes were obviously expecting at least 9 or 10 wins last year, without taking into account the @&^% roster and state of the locker room he walked into.

It takes time to rebuild after years of devastation. To show how some of the all time greatest coaches did in their first 2-4 years at a major school, here's some records for a few.

Bear Bryant: TA&M-1-9, 7-2-1, 9-0-1.
ALA- 5-4, 7-2-2, 8-1-2.

Joe Paterno: PSU- 5-5-0, 8-2-1, 11-0-0.

Nick Saban: ALA- 7-6, 12-2.

Bobby Bowden: FSU- 5-6, 10-2.

Woody Hayes: OSU- 4-3-2, 6-3, 6-3, 10-0.

John McKay: USC- 4-6, 4-5-1, 11-0.

Does everyone see the progression? It takes time to install the culture and roster changes. Stop griping about the last 20 years. I've suffered right along with you. It was a combination of bad hiring and bad leadership.

And don't even @ me about NIL, because the paradigm shift happened right when Mario got here. Lots of people swore that it would be the difference maker for us, before the rest of CFB caught up.

So please, stop whining and moaning and be a Canes fan and support the team without spewing your agony for others to read.

Mrs Cristmoron,

This is not about rebuilding or NIL it’s about being the CEO of a major brand and making the right decisions! He is an awful CEO and he showed it again last night! Oregon, Middle Tenn and now GTech!

Please go home and make your husband a cafecito!
