I knew what your post was aiming for, and I appreciated the post. I think it's an underrated post in this thread. Bad timing on my part.I would call you a person capable of ruining a perfectly good joke

That's what I took part of putting into this universe and it's what y'all simply refuse to understand. We're not content with simply winning some games. Well be content when we have a standard again. Till then y'all do u & keep that energy. Cause we did best when we knew it was us against everyone. Our fans included.
Just a little levity my friend. I think what you said is spot on and as RVA mentioned, it’s how most people feelI knew what your post was aiming for, and I appreciated the post. I think it's an underrated post in this thread. Bad timing on my part.
He's not Woody Hayes, Bear Bryant or Nick Saben,, he's ****** old Mario,,HaHa..I rarely voice my own opinions on here, but I simply cannot stand how about half of this board continually bashes Mario. These mopey dopes were obviously expecting at least 9 or 10 wins last year, without taking into account the @&^% roster and state of the locker room he walked into.
It takes time to rebuild after years of devastation. To show how some of the all time greatest coaches did in their first 2-4 years at a major school, here's some records for a few.
Bear Bryant: TA&M-1-9, 7-2-1, 9-0-1.
ALA- 5-4, 7-2-2, 8-1-2.
Joe Paterno: PSU- 5-5-0, 8-2-1, 11-0-0.
Nick Saban: ALA- 7-6, 12-2.
Bobby Bowden: FSU- 5-6, 10-2.
Woody Hayes: OSU- 4-3-2, 6-3, 6-3, 10-0.
John McKay: USC- 4-6, 4-5-1, 11-0.
Does everyone see the progression? It takes time to install the culture and roster changes. Stop griping about the last 20 years. I've suffered right along with you. It was a combination of bad hiring and bad leadership.
And don't even @ me about NIL, because the paradigm shift happened right when Mario got here. Lots of people swore that it would be the difference maker for us, before the rest of CFB caught up.
So please, stop whining and moaning and be a Canes fan and support the team without spewing your agony for others to read.
And yet you do not acknowledge the other myriad changes. New DC, new WR, LB and RB coaches. 18+ kids transferred out. 40 new players in with #7 recruiting class and #7 portal class. This is complete reset for the program. Should be an interesting season.Come on now. We’re setting the bar quite low if we’re complaining about the highest paid coach in the school’s history not getting enough credit for firing arguably the worst OC in the school’s history and replacing him a competent coach. Yes, in doing so he is changing the offensive philosophy, but it’s not saying much about Mario’s tenure if that’s what we’re holding up as an achievement that we should be giving Mario more credit for.
Shut up Midlo! Nobody wants to hear your BS excuses!! We had more than enough talent to beat mid Tennessee state, Duke and other ****** ACC teams! Blame Mario for making ****** hires after taking 12 years to conduct his searches. I don’t want to hear about some records of coaches who coached 65 years ago. They didn’t have the portal. We may not have had the talent to compete against Clemson but everyone else on the schedule we should have been able to compete with. Stop the excuses!!I rarely voice my own opinions on here, but I simply cannot stand how about half of this board continually bashes Mario. I know you didn’t mean “everyone” literally.Exactly, why is everyone on such opposite sides there’s no room for realists.
Mario’s 1st year was the worst for the canes in my lifetime, I understand the culture change argument but there’s no reason Miami should be below .500 in the ACC. There’s no excuse for that and the coordinator hires are a failure on his part.
With that being said I’m excited for this year and believe Mario can still turn this around. I believe he is capable of bringing the toughness we’ve needed for years in order to finally compete for the ACC and hopefully more.
We’re so close to the season it’s time for the mopes to give a little hope. And the slurpers to understand why some aren’t 100% bought in yet.
Posters like you are exactly why I made this thread. All I just read was anger and frustration coming out.Shut up Midlo! Nobody wants to hear your BS excuses!! I think we win 10 games this year with the right coaches here and more portal help. I agree with you on the locker room and culture but that seems to have been fixed now. No excuses!

I’m not angry, just tired of porsters like you saying we don’t have the talent to win games in this trash conference. Another excuse threadPosters like you are exactly why I made this thread. All I just read was anger and frustration coming out.
And don't tell me to shut up.
Why should he get credit for resetting the failure of a coaching staff he hired in the first place? He didn’t inherit Manny’s staff—he was given the largest coaching staff budget in school history and made one poor hire after another. We’re still seeing the consequences of those poor initial hires with the disaster that continues to be Addae and DB recruiting. And yet you do not acknowledge the other myriad changes. New DC, new WR, LB and RB coaches. 18+ kids transferred out. 40 new players in with #7 recruiting class and #7 portal class. This is complete reset for the program. Should be an interesting season.
Better he retain the same ****** staff and wear them around his neck like an albatross? Why should he get credit for resetting the failure of a coaching staff he hired in the first place? He hired an oc who is completely different than any OC he has hired in pastPoint would be he made changes... He adapted. Yet y'all (not necessarily u)still don't give him credit for it. You can't constantly move the bar. He addressed what he had to and now it's something else. So let the man work. That's what he's supposed to do.
