Florida High School football is the culprit

There are seven FBS programs in Florida. Here are the votes received in this week's AP poll:

FSU 1
UF 0
UM 0
UCF 0
USF 0
FAU 0
FIU 0

So with all the "talent" we supposedly have at our disposal, seven FBS programs received one 25th-place vote, combined. Even the second-tier schools can't beat schools that also get their states' leftovers.

There is a reason why guys like Jimbo, Urban, and Dan Mullen bailed on programs that have all the resources in the world. And there is also a reason why big-name coaches want no part of these programs. Florida high school "talent" is built only on measurables. It doesn't understand work ethic or desire. And the Florida kid, especially the south Florida kid, is all about getting paid and making highlight videos.

Seriously. Find those guys. For the record, I think the same is true in baseball right now and have said so for years. Florida baseball players are about showcases, not about winning.

What are you talking about? If anything, you have proved the opposite of your point.

Before the NFL season started, there were more players from Florida than any other state. Period. I presume someone can dig that graphic up.

If Florida programs suck, it is NOT because of talent, rather it is because of coaching.

None of those NFL players are on college rosters right now. I wish I didn't have to point that out.

They have a handful of Florida players each, and several of those don't contribute at all.

Three FBS teams have rosters full of Florida players, and all three have programs so toxic that people don't want to coach there.
 
🤦🏾‍♂️ the best players are going to where the bag is, and who can get them to the league. Oh and win..

All the teams in Florida keep hiring sorry *** coaches, who can’t win, and develop nfl players on a high level.

I for one, can’t blame those kids.
