2026 is the recruiting year that has potential to be blockbuster. Given that a significant portion of the classes are in place by end of summer, 2026 was always going to be the year that leveraged a good 2024 season (rather than 2025).

Goes along with D$ post about proof of concept at qb. Mario can show the blueprint is working, just need to keep stacking classes and make sure you have the right qb.

2026 4-star DB Jaelen “Seatbelt” Waters has announced his commitment to the University of Miami Friday night on X



“It’s been a long process but I know where I’m supposed to be.”

The 6-foot-2, 170-pounder from Seffner, FL is considered one of the top cornerbacks in the state as well as the country. (No.15 CB Nationally, No. 4 CB in FL). He applied his trade at Armwood where he was credited with 20 tackles and two interceptions his Junior year.

Two potential targets for a flip: four-star Mississippi State commit Emanuel Tucker (New Albany, MS) and Louisville commit Joel Ervin (Fort Myers). Miami is very high on the upside of both.​
