I agree with the OP. Fletcher is a stud and one of the most valuable players in the ACC.

Very impressed by Fletcher this year. We know what he can do once he gets going, but what I'm so impressed with is the number of times he's making a defender miss in the hole. Our IOL run blocking is not good but Fletcher keeps getting something for us. He's absolutely improved his lateral quickness

Would be nice if Dawson ran more stretch which he and the line seem to excel in. Running A gap with this pathetic interior is setting Fletcher up to get destroyed each game

Not that I’m only quoting you, but I couldn’t agree more on stretch plays. I’ve asked for it for years.

San Francisco routinely has one of the best run games in the league, often with inferior OL and RBs.

We seem to want to do the complete opposite.

Everytime we run it we get 20yds or more it seems. I know Mario said he runs A gap cause it allows you to stay on schedule, less risk of holding penalties, less risk of negative runs. I think it’s worth the risk cause this line ain’t built for A gap.

h Fletcher down hill style and our OL more atheltic then power, I'm not sure why we don't have cross blocks or pull Guards to kick out ends while the tackle can down block on the DT or uphill to the LB (with a wham block). We are allowed to run stuff other then duo and OZ. Counter trey would be money with this OL and its still downhill with Fletcher.
I think they need to start Gap blocking and staying away form Zone blocks.
