Glitch in the matrix is what I’m going withI think I know a decent amount of football and I enjoy the X's and O's talk about the game in general but mostly about Miami. Does anyone know why Flagg went for the hit against an o-lineman instead of tackling the qb when he clearly had a choice? The announcer said something about a stunt and completing his assignment, but in that situation you have to adjust and tackle the ball carrier, and Flagg didn't do that. The same thing happened last year when #3 I think went out of his way to hit the blocker rather than tackle the ball carrier. What is in the water (or coaching or player instincts) in Miami that has players choosing not to make the tackle when they are in a great spot to do so?
What is happening in those scenarios? I don't understand. Can someone explain the X's and O's of what those players were doing (as opposed to "JAG" or "he just sucks")?
This is the play you guys are talking about. I dare someone to defend this BS. Kid shouldn't see the field for the rest of the year. Tired of seeing him and DJ Ivey getting absolutely embarrassed.
That’s really weird. Look at the qb in these frames (blue arrow) and look where Flagg (red arrow) is going. Wtf is this???

Lol at going out of your way to try and help another guy get into the backfield when you’re already in the backfield untouched yourself. It’s a stunt and he has outside contain and the DE comes inside, however, he should not have ran into the tackles butt! He was already in the backfires lol

Lesson: don’t play FlaggClearly he was stunting with the DE.
But cmon man, if you have a free shot at the QB....**** the stunt.
Then again, he has had free shots at QBs before and failed miserably. So he prolly just said I'm just gonna do my job and not expose myself.
Lesson: dont blitz Flagg.
I warned everyone about both the board favorites starting.Should’ve known when insiders said this bum was the coaches’ favorite that we were in for a rough season. That and if we had 85 Will Mallorys.
So strange.. sad part is Flagg had a complete free release to the QB..that OL didn't even see him. That’s really weird. Look at the qb in these frames (blue arrow) and look where Flagg (red arrow) is going. Wtf is this???

@Liberty City El left me in charge of answering all technical football questions as Goat in Training. I think I can retire from that role now. Gifs are more my speed. What in the actual f did I wake up to see?
Stevenson won't play CB in the NFL, he's far too slow. Not defending Flagg by any stretch, but he's hardly the biggest problem. We have corners - including one projected to be a high NFL draft pick who contributed mightily to A&M loss - who get run by like they're standing still. So, three unchallenged bombs for TDs & offense turns the ball over for points on first three possessions of game. Absolutely unbelievable.
What happened to that lb from UCLA? I mean is worse?
