Flagg is not hurt

We need to move on. I don’t like calling out players but Flagg makes mistakes that frequently lead to big game changing plays or TDs.

Can’t afford to have that at your Mike linebacker.

I almost punched a hole in my TV when I saw Flagg blitz in to hit the offensive lineman while the QB ran right past him.

There are serious issues with this team.

Either the current staff is teaching that, or it's Flagg freelancing and doing what Diaz taught (hall did the same thing last year and made it on sportscenter).

Watch the tape. Flagg did this alot last year too. "Engaged a blocker."

It defies logic.
I personally like to see guys get past blockers, but that's just me.

i thought i was the only that saw that..WTF was he doing if he would have stayed in his lane he would have stop the QB
He was trying to grab the OL to free the DLwho was going on an inside stunt. But his *** was doing it as the QB was attacking the LOs. 😂😂😂

I guess the concept of "shedding" blockers is not one of the fundamental practices for our LB unit. At least this was how it seemed under the Diaz era. I'm sure Strong and company are teaching them correctly.

I'm trying to remind myself of that play. Is that the one where he's on a MTSU lineman and the quarterback ran the gap to Flaggs left untouched? He didn't even extend his hand out to grab jersey. Just let him run right by.

I’m really not trying to defend the play, but Flagg is about the last guy I’d expect to freelance and not execute his role in a play design. Sometimes for better and sometimes for worse. While it looked bad on camera, I don’t really fault him for doing his job. The DL he freed up had a shot at the QB and missed because he came in too deep instead of down the LOS behind the two guys washing that side of the line. The DL play was extremely disappointing overall with way too few opportunities and executions at or behind the LOS considering the opponent.

I think I know a decent amount of football and I enjoy the X's and O's talk about the game in general but mostly about Miami. Does anyone know why Flagg went for the hit against an o-lineman instead of tackling the qb when he clearly had a choice? The announcer said something about a stunt and completing his assignment, but in that situation you have to adjust and tackle the ball carrier, and Flagg didn't do that. The same thing happened last year when #3 I think went out of his way to hit the blocker rather than tackle the ball carrier. What is in the water (or coaching or player instincts) in Miami that has players choosing not to make the tackle when they are in a great spot to do so?

What is happening in those scenarios? I don't understand. Can someone explain the X's and O's of what those players were doing (as opposed to "JAG" or "he just sucks")?
Don't overthink this he sucks, just don't understand why we have no better
