In his latest edition of “The ATM,” DMoney promised there would be fireworks in the next week. The sky is lighting up Orange and Green.

In what can be hailed as the most significant recruitment of the cycle so far, the Miami Hurricanes secured the commitment of five-star wide receiver Joshisa “Jojo” Trader on Wednesday night.

Trader, hailing from the local powerhouse program of Chaminade-Madonna high school, is an outstanding athlete standing 6-1 and weighing 175 pounds. He was regarded as a crucial local target for Miami. In an intense recruitment process, Trader chose the Hurricanes over several prestigious programs, including Florida State, Ohio State, Georgia, and Florida. The decision is expected to pave the way for future high-profile commitments.

Trader boasts an impressive ranking as per the 247Sports Composite Rankings - #25 overall player in the country, #3 athlete (ATH), and the #5 player in the state of Florida. This commitment catapults Trader to the top of the Miami recruiting class, making him the first five-star player and the highest-rated player in the class.

Not only does Trader add a five-star feather to the Hurricanes' cap, but he also promises to strengthen Miami's receiving corps. He will be joining four-star wide receiver Chance Robinson from St. Thomas Aquinas.

Jojo Trader's reputation as an explosive receiver was confirmed during his sophomore year at Miami Central when he outpaced incoming Canes freshman Damari Brown and current West Virginia corner Jacolby Spells for deep touchdown receptions. He played in 6 games that season, catching 26 passes for 592 yards and 6 scores.

As a junior at Chaminade, Trader caught 47 passes for 743 yards and 7 touchdowns.
