Fitzgerald reminds me of the Honey Badger

Fitz is just a little light in the *** lol. Once he gets his weight up that confidence to tackle will come. Right now we can just use him on passing downs while he comes along, because his pass game instincts might just be elite man

Fitz is nothing like the Honey Badger. I would just keep playing him like we are until he wants to tackle. Poyser is coming up for run support and doing it. I wouldn't put Fitz on the field against FSU unless it's a blowout.

What's great for Bryce is that Heatherman helped develop the best freshman Safety in the country last year at Minnesota and trusted him to start. Bryce has similar measurables, skillset and athleticism to Koi Perich. Koi played basketball, ran a 10.9 100, played on both sides of the ball and returned 4 kicks in high school. The big question is, will Bryce tackle at a high level.....

I know...the football jonesing is bad right now and I'm drinking that @DMoney Kool-Aid. We're a week away from reality

Fitzgerald is a plus plus athlete but Tyran Mathieu was extremely physical while being a ball hawk. Different players in my opinion.
For sure, but I have to give Fitzgerald his credit, he’s shown physicality since he’s been here, and that was the one thing people said he was lacking. Well, he’s showing it now.

Heatherman places teaching tackling and physicality as a priority. Our DC is heaven sent for this kid

You guys do know he is true freshman, right? He is likely younger and weaker than every player he has tried to tackle.
Personally if freshman are really good at one thing I am happy;
Pringle is a great runner (probably not a great blocker yet)
Fitz is great attacking the ball (not a great tackler)

Malachi Toney is the exception, and not the rule. By their junior seasons when they are upperclassmen, that is when I expect to see the total package.

I mean he did get the guy on the ground. I will take that until he adds more strength.

Fitzgerald is an exciting young player, but Honey Badger comparison is a crazy reach. Under sized, instinctive player who would knock your head off.
