First, the university needs to decide if our current AD can run the program. Personally, I'd like to see someone come in who has a record of success as an AD elsewhere, someone who is respected and knows how to lure strong coaching candidates.
That move needs to be made ASAP, within the next few weeks. That'll give the new AD a time to join in a coaching search that could be completed by early December.
The president is new and has a right to get his people into positions.

Nobody in this entire regime has any autonomy to make a decision.

The President is a figure head and the Athletic Director is a fund raiser.

Its the Board of Trustee's, first and last. And even they seem to be disorganized.

Direct your ire at them. Blake James and the fruity mexican dude are just patsies.

Our AD is the worst AD in America as far as I'm concerned. He's the ultimate beta male who is completely unqualified for this job.

I want Blake gone as much as Golden.

You think that guy can spot a savage if he sees him? You probably would **** his pants, you know he is hiring Cristobal.

This is a crucial moment in the program. The gap is growing between us and our in-state rivals.
We can't make these coming decisions by the seat of our pants. The Golden era is over. Now's the time to take a holistic approach -- pick a new AD and a new coach, decide on how much to pay the staff, commit dollars to enhance facilties. Fundamental decisions.
We're at a crossroads. The good news: One coach with the proper support can turn this thing around fast.

Blake is not a huge fan of Golden, and my guess is he gets at least another year. What has Blake James done that is so horrible?

PREACH!

But no matter what,

Firing Day is 58 away.

First, he isn't qualified to be AD at Miami.

Second, he has no power and is retarded. If you need proof, see all his quotes on "progress".

Third, he has no vision for the program. See his thoughts on the stadium and then look at his "wife".

POTATO living under a rock.

I'm not saying he's horrible. And he's not the one who picked Golden.
But what in his background would lead us to believe he could take on the challenge ahead of him?
And you need managerial coherence. New administration, new AD, new coach. Things usually work out better that way.

Blake did not give the extension, he was an AD at Maine and worked here before. Just because he looks twelve does not mean he is doing a bad job. No one here knows what the buyout is unless your Al or Blake and why call out his wife Kelly? Some of you have some serious issues, **** she worked at UM too. He wants to win, I give him until the end of the year to see what he does.

Semper Canes!!!

He kept Golden and allowed him to retain his inept coordinators. That's plenty of reason!

He wants to win, but says things like that we don't need to focus on being number 1. Makes sense. And you're giving him or AL til the end of the year? I'll trust Blake when he fires Golden, brings in a competent staff, and finds a fitted suit.

Didn't fire him last year.
That indecision has created this toxic situation.
He's has no business here and should go with a Golden.

Yet another POTATO who hasn't seen enough from Flake. He's an impotent and powerless marionette who does EXACTLY what the BOT tells him to do. We need an independent LEADER at AD.

Firing Flake, and hiring an independent AD, will show that the BOT finally sees the light.

Where's Frenk in all this? Apparently he's a ZERO. It's good that he keeps his distance from the football program.

He led the charge to take away the Fire Al signs at B ball games. He should have stood with the fans not Al. He picked his side, now he must suffer that decision.

This is why I admired (and envied) the Pitt program a year ago. The new Chancellor came in and promptly kicked the AD to the curb. Then he unbelievably pulled his second rabbit out of the hat by luring Narduzzi to Pitt BEFORE hiring another AD. This sequence of events said one thing to me - the guy wants to win, he wasn't going to let loyalties or egos get in his way, and the new AD may or may not have any juice but who cares - the administration has set a clear tone that there is a passion to win and win now. Which they will.

Watch out for Pitt. It's a program on the rise. They have everything in place to change their trajectory. We, on the other hand, are listing along with a loser mentality. Which is so **** depressing.

As someone else pointed out, the BOT runs everything. Everyone else is a puppet and will just be replaced by a puppet.

Meanwhile, Frenk's trying to throw up a W. In a couple of years, he may perfect a U. Then he'll set his sights on the deportment of the athletic department.
