Ok this is dumb. 1. There are always upgrades available. 2. Dawson didn’t cause us this game. Had some crap calls and some awesome ones. The fake screen to one side and back to the other was pretty slick. 3. Of we can hire the second coming of Name your guy… do it. But we probably can’t so we get better.

Did we score and look better later in the game, uh yeah so Dawson 1st half game plan sucked

The first half game plan was literally what we did all year to get here and indiana made plays to stop it. They stuffed the run game and droped 8 on obvious pass downs

2nd half we adjusted and started scoring and had a chance to win in the end, he even had a good call at the end if beck gets to his next progression

Im hurt too but there were more issues today than dawson

On Beck’s INT, Marion was the only receiver on that side. Daniels, Toney, and Bauman were bunched right. IU had a cover two on Marion’s side and since there wasn’t a designed receiver going into the flat, the CB stayed with Marion. If Dawson designs ANYTHING for the flat, Marion TD. You can’t call Marion to run THAT route without another offensive player running something in the flat to make the CB peel off of Marion to cover it.

That’s why Dawson isn’t elite. And he will never be elite. And next year, with Mensah, his arm talent will overshadow Dawson like when he had Ward.

It’s really as simple as he and his quarterback all season were never in harmony. For all of cam’s heroics last season Dawson at least knew what to expect and what cam wanted to do. On the int.. Dawson knew we had all the time in the world. There was 15 yards wide open underneath on the play you’re complaining about. Sometimes you just lose.

Putting Bauman on the field, let alone out wide, is the most pointless move ever. Wasn’t he who missed the block on ST blocked punt? Either way, our TE room is garbage and Dawson’s offense sucks using TE’s.

I'm guessing Dawson evaluated Beck as a huge liability and just marched forward with what he had. Limited his playbook. Any portal quarterback thinking about coming to Miami next season should be excited to have Fletch/Brown in the backfield, and Trader (he'll get more burn if he stays), Toney, and an OLine. We are going to reload--no doubt. Beck failed to take advantage of his chance at a chip. Menseh can come get his turn with a team already build and ready.
