Fire JD Arteaga

Hiring within hasn’t worked. Gino and JD suck, thankfully the basketball program went outside and got Lucas. Manny Diaz and Randy Shannon obviously didn’t work and Coker lucked into the best roster ever assembled.


Go out and get Troy Tulowitzki. Young accomplished ex player who demands perfection and would kick all these soft pussies out of the program. Idc if he doesn’t have HC experience. He’s been at Texas since 2020.
 
Everyone list y’all’s HC top 3 or whoever many. I really don’t think we’d go after a sitting HC. I think the Jai Lucas route make more sense.

I can’t remember the last time Miami was run ruled this much in a season…… Or even run ruled period.

Those 3 sound like fantastic candidates which probably means no chance for us.

Dan Fitzgerald would be A+, I just think that’d require a level of commitment that we don’t have for baseball.

Pat Hallmark would be a great hire, a true winner. But odd given he is Texas through and through, and he’s older.

Mangrum is intriguing, he’s never been a lead assistant and has little P4 coaching experience. I love the guardians experience, but I’m unsure on how it makes for a HC. The results are great at both Ole Miss and Milb. I’d rate it a solid B+, he’d fix pitching to say the least.

Yup. I’m ready for an offseason of scapegoating the conditioning coach. Plus the incoming transfer class of acquiring a nova southeastern pitcher who throws 89 and a SEC pitcher with an era of 11.83.

1 year where we had big boy pitching and covid shut it down…. But don’t worry that team had massive flaws like all miami teams have had going back to 09 and would have stubbed their toe with no approach at the plate, bad defense, bad base running, etc

It’s been a seesaw for going on 20 years. 1 thing good the rest is bad.

Program seriously lacks an identity and has for some time.

It probably is this one of Inday's, but a comparable thread on football would have 103 pages by now vs 3.

Bombard the admin w emails as well, but unless and until JD's supporters bail on him, we're probably looking at firing an assistant or two, throwing some NIL money at Cuvet to stay another year, etc.
