Fire Diaz and revamp the coaching staff on the defensive side of the ball

His defense is so unsound at times it's sad.
Like 39 times tonight I saw us line-up without an edge defender. (but then on the goal line we line-up with 2 lol)
do you think part of the problem is hes a coach that never played the game?

Brother LSU stifled their own offense when they got up big.

You watched the same game we did...LSU when they needed to, did what they wanted when they wanted.
Funny thing is, their offense isn’t even good. It took a below average LSU offense to take their foot off the gas for us to stop them.

Amen! The guy is a ******* joke! He has no clue what to do on 3rd down and when we need gap integrity the most he just calls one of his patented everyman for himself blitzes where every defender looks like a chicken with it's head cut off while the opposing offense calmly converts another 3rd and long. How about that 3rd and 9 where we send the house at Burrow yet everyone misses him and the dude just casually ambles for a first down. A total ******* joke.

LSU’s defense wasn’t any better. The difference is our QB couldn’t hit an open WR or an ocean for that matter.

Another thing...

Our CB coaching is over-*******-rated.

Whether it's the position coach himself or the DC's preference...our CB's continue to give up inside leverage.
Michael Jackson got completely smoked on a quick slant because he opened up his hips to the outside right away and gave up the inside.
Our CB's NEVER take away the inside.

I noticed this last year. They don’t stay square and move their feet. Everyone opens to the outside with their first step, except for Bandy. You saw it with Young, Jackson, and Delany.

Glad to see the smoke and mirrors that is Doritez being exposed. Guy sucks.

Hes not Jon Richt, Hartley, or Rumph bad....but he sucks.
The **** are you talking about Rumph bad? His ******* unit is the only ******* unit that showed up to ******* play! His unit kept saving Diaz on those ******* runs...it’s as if Rumph is the only dude on defense that actually knows how to tackle. Everyone else can kick rocks but I doubt we’ll get a better CB than Rumph.

As a DC? No. I think it more of he a smartest guy in the room type of guy as long as the room doesn't have a competent defensive mind in there. He doesn't want anyone to contest his football knowledge because any competent defensive mind would tell him to stop blitzing so **** much and he can't help but want to run those nickel/safety same gap blitz that gets us gashed every time we use it.

As a LB coach? Yes. Our LB do not play sound football by any means. They are poorly coached and lack the basic fundamentals a college LB should have. Then you add in the fact he teaches tackling and he has probably never tackled someone before. This is where I think him never playing the game hurts him the most.

I think they do that on purpose...Miramar and Heritage never did that when he was there.

try being a DC for two years where your offense cant convert a 3rd down and your punter cant get the ball past mid-field.

Bruh we totally called this ****e on Diaz.

dumb *** substitutions & dumb *** schemes that are senseless at times.

I
This is fair rebuttal, but the dude’s scheme is still extra.

What a difference 24 hrs make.bet 48 hrs ago none of you thought this.how many said the defense was going to feed.whether you like it or not our team is very soft especially in the trenches.we need a hardass no nonsense head coach.toughen these boys up.grandpa's and grandma's in a nursing home could run all over this team.

I think this is another Diaz issue. No way Rumph would teach that otherwise.

Everyone is talking about who to fire. Bigger concern will soon be who will we loose. Y'all think Dugans is gonna hang around for this? Best coach and recruiter on this team by far. Why hang around to see your position group continue to be under utilized.

I thought we were pretty decent in the base 4-3. They had so many short fields. Willis was a meanace and bailing us out a lot. What ******* gets me is the delayed zone blitzes on 3rd down. GTFO with that man.
