Fire DABO!

You need to try and keep up here, partner.

The point being made IS; Dabo has two national titles, the number 1 team in the country and barely escaped North Carolina with a 1 point win. The same North Carolina team that barely escaped with a win over the Canes at their place who the CIS hate squad has been educating the world that North Carolina is a...TERRIBLE TEAM...and the Canes should fire every coach due to that loss.

Never have so many - known so little about college football!

I've also seen every single game of Diaz's career shown that he's out-coached sans Bethune Cookman. I'm sure you'll catch up in year 3 when Diaz is all but done in Miami.

Quick trivia question for the thread:

Name the only D1 College Coach to ever lead his team to 15-0 & winning the National champion in a season?

Here's a hint, he's the Head Coach who also delivered Miami it's WORST LOSS EVER in school history which resulted in Al Folden getting fired...

Now, I get the point of this thread is to take a shot at fans who are upset at Manny for how we've started, but this thread is nothing more than Classic CIS false equivalency.

Should Manny be fired in year 1, no, but is his situation remotely comparable to Dabo's in his early years of building Clemson into a powerhouse... No, not at all really.

Find a better example next time.

I love when we point out the negatives in what's going on with a new coach, so the save-a-hoe brigade decides to pick an outlier of the bunch in Dabo. Ignoring the larger sample size that show he's likely not going to succeed here.

Dabo has institutional advantages that Diaz wishes he had. It’s not an apple to Apple comparison because Diaz isn’t going to hire coordinators for $2 million+. He’s also not going to reel in a top 10 class by dropping bags.
Diaz has to do more with less in every level in comparison to dabo. You can give manny a thousand years and he’s not achieving what Dabo did.
It’s why coaches aren’t a fit for every job.

This is very true. But I'll give Dabo credit, he's had some lowlights in his career as a coach. But what he's done is address weak points in his coaching staff without a second thought. Manny has put together a pretty pedestrian staff in his first year. If he stays pat next year, we'll know real quick how this ends.

How the **** do you know that? After 4 games you can tell?

Agree about Dabo but he also had the flexibility to do what was needed to eventually become successful. I just don’t see that manny had that flexibility. That’s why a coach that does more with less a la Mike Leach, Dan Mullen, Dino Babers are what Miami really needs IMO. Different coaches fit better in different situations. Our recruiting advantage has evaporated yet we still hire coaches as though it hasn’t.

Yes, for the fact that for every game we've looked unprepared. The fact that he hired an OC that consistently calls PA on 3rd and long with a pedestrian OL, an OC that he hired. The fact that he gives charity playing time to guys like Patchan and Knowles. The fact that he has the same exacerbated lost look that Al Golden has had.

I agree, we need a strong X's and O's coach. Manny ain't it.

Butch has only one really bad year with severe sanctions. The coaches we’ve had since Coker began dismantling the program have NEVER had good years. Just keeps getting worse. How can you blame people for being sick of this garbage?

You have no worldly idea what you are blathering on about. Your comments concerning Manny are so ignorant they are truly laughable.

You haters possess a combined football IQ that is so minuscule it wouldn't register on the Lawrence Berkeley National Labs Microscope.

Finally, if you brave geniuses applied the same standards to yourselves that you do to the UM coaches and players then I would tip my hat to you, but you subscribe to the school of; 'Do what I say, not what I do'.

Looked unprepared? The OC gained 150 more yards then the defending national champs against a similar opponent. Patchan was our best defender against UF and do you realize just how bad Amari Carter is? He’s awful we have no one else. Bolden and Gurvan will be our secondary.

Quit living in the past the year is 2019 not 2001. The team is very young and has holes. For instance, safety.

They lost to Appalachian state.

Dabo was regarded as an elite recruiter as a WR coach. Clemson was banking on his recruiting prowess and it paid off. Worst case he leaves a loaded team for the next guy. Diaz is not a good recruiter. The hire did not make sense on any level.

Leveraging Dabos recruiting abilities, Clemson also have gave him just under a couple million for his recruiting budget. Miami gives less than 500k. Miami could absolutely afford to up its recruiting budget but chooses not to.

Yup people conveniently leave this out. Dabo was not whiffing on every recruit he went after like Manny.

People expected Dabo to build the roster up.

People expected Manny to be able to out Xs and Os the less talented ACC teams. He has not done that.

And who's been responsible for the holes on defense? You do realize all of the players you see right now on defense are Diaz's correct? And yes, we have looked unprepared for each game against an FBS opponent. Mentioning Clemson's poor performance doesn't explain our performances against UF and CMU as well.

I never said we should be blowing opponents out every single week. I didn't realize asking us to score more than 17 points against the Might Chipewas (or however you ******* spelling it) was such a tall order that only the 2001 Miami Hurricanes could accomplish.

But it's cool, keep lowering those standards, bud.

By year three we'll be winning titles if not sooner.

Exactly Manny Diaz is an exemplary HC. He gets the culture here. He called these players out before the season even started.

Said we needed to get rid of the disease, after our two losses he stated that we aren’t playing to the Miami standard. That’s a coach who knows what it takes to be here. He just needs to take care of the winning portion.

He recruits well also. Our D is loaded with studs. If we keep bringing in Manny Diaz recruits on defense we will be back at championship level in a jiffy.

3 years to make the playoffs or bust.
You have a stud in Jarren Williams. By year 3 Williams confidence should be popping and he should open us up with a nice win over Alabama with the recruits we have lining up to play for us.

Sorry but your STUD QB can’t even throw deep.
