PLEASE STOP comparing Diaz to Dabo PLEASE!!

It's like comparing a child to a fully grown man

Completely different circumstances, one is completely unproven ......while the other has already won 2 N.C.s

Currently, We have NO idea how Diaz's coaching career will actually turn out....only conjecture on our part. Some bad, some hopeful.......While Dabo has actually proven what he is capable of

Manny has NOT yet earned the right to be compared with any Elite coach

Over the last 20 years, 100% of the coaches who won National Champs had at least one vowel in their name, should we look into that?
 
Our fan base cares more about other teams and their results than our performance.

For those that don’t know:

1. Dabo is an outlier, he is not the norm,
2. His tenure and process (when he started) has nothing to do with Manny and his tenure/future, and
3. Dabo was thrown into the HC gig mid-season as an interim HC. They could have went another way but they named him. This alone should stop any comparison to Manny. In addition, there are so many random variables that happened during his early tenure that could have went in either direction (both good and bad). It really is a series of random events.

Bonus: Dabo has earned the benefit of the doubt. Saban, before he got to Bama, earned the benefit of the doubt. This benefit of the doubt is the result of actual proven success. How their fan base react isn’t relevant to us. Dabo and Saban have earned the right to have a “sub-par” performance today. Anyone who compares them to Manny simply because of “sub-par” initial results doesn’t understand how there is no correlation with Manny Diaz and Miami.

With that said Blake is still the AD.

everyone here seems to forget that dabo was 19-16 after 3 years and then got smoked 70-33 in the orange bowl in year 4. clemson let him get venables to address the swiss cheese defense and they've been amazing ever since.

not saying that manny will build a powerhouse here, but clemson fans were calling for his head for years and the university ignored them so he could build his program.

and sadly our dip**** admin would never hire leach or mullen because they can't have anyone that will cause friction. bunch of power-tripping retards that run the school. frenck gets props for keeping his nose out of athletics, but the guy isn't respected at all otherwise.

So wait Saban, Dabo or Urban Meyer don’t get any credit for building their rosters on both sides of the ball? All the credit goes to their offensive and defensive coordinators? What an idiotic statement.

You pointed out the holes on D-line and at safety. Diaz was our coordinator for defense for 3 years and was responsible for recruiting it. So yes, that's on him.

UF looked like utter crap under McElwain. Last year UF looked world's better under Mullen and he got by with a crappy OL. And it looks like rinse and repeat this year so far.

I never said anything about the DLine idiot. And safety was addressed by Diaz with Bolden. D Smith leaving hurt but safety was addressed. Go on with your miserable life.

Wow you are dumb. UF lost to Kentucky for the first time in 30 something years, at home nonetheless. That was in the first 4 games. Then they got blown out by a bad Missouri team at home. They were 6-3 and ended the year against 4 horrible teams.

Their oline was the backbone last year. One of the best olines in the country and one of the best rushing teams. The only reason they beat S Carolina is cause they ran for 350 yards. Shut up if you don’t know football.

They lost by 1 point (after a failed 2 point conversion attempt to win outright) to the # 1 team in the country, who some believe may be one of the best college football teams ever. And after the game, Dabo said that his team was outcoached and outplayed in every phase of the game.

Sadly, I believe you are right.

I have to admit that I marvel how the HERD never runs out of things to moan and bytch about. Of course, 95% of their comments are invented with an absence of intellect, along with a smelly mixture of horse and bull ****.

Playing on a football team with those losers would see them in the locker room before the game pointing out how badly they were going to get beat, how tortured they've been, crying that all the coaches should be fired and within the first 30 seconds of the game would quit.

Dabo is the greatest thing to ever happen to corches. Now when they underperform they can say "BUT DABO TOOK X AMOUNT OF YEARS, REMEMBER HIS THIRD SEASON??? IMAGINE IF THEY FIRED HIM YEAR 3. YOU HAVE TO GIVE ME ATLEAST 8 YEARS!"

The only reason they beat USCe is because they were able to do whatever they wanted to do on the ground. Might as well have said the only reason they beat USCe is because they scored more points then them.
