Finnie Suspeneded Indefinitely

View as article
Just kick this kid out.

If Finnie is on the team in 2013, that is a joke.

The NCAA is up Miami's ***, he is basically a two year starter never sniffed a bowl game because former players screwed around, is looking at 2 more years of solid PT if he works hard and a definite look by NFL teams regardless... he is getting caught up in stealing laptops.

From a former player.

Sounds like a) a scumbag and b) not a team player.

Bye bye. Better opportunity for Antonio Crawford to do work in the off season and show out.

Exactly the name I had in mind. He and turning Dortch loose.

I know Luke's no authority on this issue, but if his charges are dropped...should Golden let him back?

You can't trust a thief. Ever.

You damned sure don't trust a thief who would steal from family. That's a double theft.

Wish him the best, and hope he learned a lesson.

But he gotta go.

If, and that's a big If, the charges are dropped, he gets one more chance. Needs to stop associating himself with shady characters and making bad decisions before he ruins his life for good. Cot**** kid, just play football, get passing grades and work on getting into the NFL. Everything and everyone else must kick rocks.

Depends why the charges were dropped. If the person whose laptop was stolen does not want to press charges or if they were dropped because of some procedural ***** up, then no. But if he should not have been arrested in the first place and it was miscommunication issue or something, then maybe. Whatever it is, I trust Golden will make the right decision. I kinda think he should be gone if he stole the laptop from the team GA.

Agree with Weown.
If he was actually involved, that's a serious character flaw which the team needs no part of.
I have a hard time believing that the charges were dropped due to his actual innocence. Too much time passed and he turned himself in, doesn't look good.

I'd have to see a reliable source state that the charges were dropped. Uncle **** probably doesn't even know the difference between being released from jail on bond and having your charges dropped.

If, in fact, they were dropped, then I'd consider letting him back on the team if I believed he actually had nothing to do with the theft. If they just dropped the charges because the witness refused to testify against Finnie, and I still believed he was involved, then I'd kick him off the team.

How about Luke own up to every stupid kunty thing he said over the years? Here's to Luke dropping dead before the new year!

He'd be busy for the rest of his life apologizing. This snake in the grass is no Canes fan.

With Burns and possibly Rashard coming in, and positive reviews about Dortch and Hope, I almost want another scholarship. Finnie was solid against the run but didn't impress me at all in coverage. A lot of PA calls and not quick enough to stay with fast receivers.

I think Golden did a good thing by landing Finnie. We needed DBs desperately and Finnie is solid. That said I agree with you that the competition isn't what it was two years ago and he was really going to have to step it up to see PT. Not that he couldn't but I don't think there's falloff.

He would have to apologize in front of the entire team. One of the things that's made Miami special is they were a family. I think Golden should get together with the team and let them help make a decision. If he's booted, it probably will not go well for him. If the team takes him back, then maybe he can turn himself around.
