Fines is leaving Miami

LOL! I guess I was too quick on the draw!
 
I generally never hate on a kid who chooses UM. I hope he ends up someplace that allows him to achieve whatever his goals are. Best of luck to him.


He was in a bad spot here. A slow moving, two-gap guy who was recruited to play in Dorito's shell scheme D and found himself playing in a speed-oriented, one gap system. He was going to be forever buried on the depth chart.
 
Hoping he knows something about recruits that we don’t and is leaving because he sees his PT dwindling.

What PT? Dude wasn’t getting. Any regardless of who is on the roster or coming in. He is fat and slow. He doesn’t fit what we need in our scheme. He is a NT in a 3-4 at a smaller school. Best of luck to him elsewhere.

Difference between meaningful players at the position leaving (like Owens to a degree) then guys who'll never see a snap here.

You keep confusing numbers with depth.

Maybe 2, IMO.
I think we need for Perry to step up and become our starter for 2018 but, by the same token,
Richt needs to be smart how he handles the QB competition during spring because we don't want to have
a situation where it is only Perry and the incoming Frosh on the roster come August.

Oh, well, this is just great news. First Gordinier hangs it up and now Fines is leaving.

Who is gonna be the token white guy of the defense? All the great, championship-caliber Miami teams have had at least one token honky on defense. Tony Fitzpatrick, George Mira, Jr., Bill Hawkins, Greg Mark, Dan Morgan, Matt Walters.

History shows us that Miami has to have a token whitey on defense to be elite.

Is Patchan gonna move back to DE???

Not sure Morgan fits the token part,one of the best LBs to play college ball anywhere.
