Lanning has won the big ten
Mario has appeared in the championship game.
To date Lanning has accomplished more and won more. That being said my perspective of Mario has changed drastically and I'm happy he is here. Lanning has lost to 2 teams in 2 years. Those of you acting like he is James Franklin are a bit stupid, but here we are.

Lanning is a good coach. If Alabama fired DeBoer, he’d be my first call for them.

The Oregon comp is not apples to apples because Mario left him a winning program and the NIL era was about to start.

Ultimately, I think it worked out for all parties.
You think Bama fans would be cool with giving up a combined 90 points to JMU and Indiana? At least Deboer’s defense held Indiana under 50.

Getting smoked like that by Indiana with a first round QB? Big strike. Lanning meat riders crying. They didn't start at the same place. Miami aint won shyyt in 20 years. Oregon won multiple conference titles and played for national titles in that same time period before Lanning.

What bad situation has Lanning been in Bama, UGA, Oregon? He is gonna be under pressure after the way the season ended.

All joking aside, Lanning has done a good job. Seems like he knows what he’s doing and has maintained Oregon as a consistent winner.

But saying the situation he walked into at Oregon was anywhere near what Mario took over at Miami is just a huge ******* joke. Oregon has had four seasons of less than 9 wins in the last 20 years and one of them was during Covid when they only played 7 games. Miami has had six 9+ win seasons in that same span and two of them are the last two years. One program has been near elite for decades and the other has been the fifth best team in the ACC.
