Fight broke out during Canes practice.

Ferman has a feature article this morning about what needs to be changed during the bye week to put this team back on the path to winning games. He talked about the team connection - no man left behind mentality. To illustrate this, he and Shodell talk about what they saw at the end of the Virginia game. Apparently the entire team bolted off the field after the missed field goal - everyone but Xavier Restrepo. He was kneeling down on the sideline with his head down in his hands. No one came back for him; no one made sure he was okay. Everyone just left. The only people left around were the Virginia guys celebrating out on the field. Both of them said they were really surprised that none of the team seemed to notice he was kneeling like that alone. No players or coaches.... He apparently stayed like that for a bit. No one ever came back out.

Breaks my heart. ONE guy was that distraught. Speaks volumes about the state of the program.

Someone should have come back for him, but…. If they didn’t leave for the locker room.. there would be posts here *****ing that the players just hung around the field not caring while UVA celebrated…speaking volumes..

Wouldn’t surprise me in the least but it’s still sad X was left there by himself.

That.... That hurts man.

I highly doubt no coaches or players noticed. I don't doubt that they didn't care though

Been traveling and just now read this thread...

You can tell X gives his all and has true love for this program. He may be the only one.
Exactly, even just by the way he plays I could have guessed that he would be the only one on the field, soaking in the pain. Manny should have made the whole team stay on the field.

What a F-ing disastrous Sh*tshow....Anyone who supports this abortion of a staff needs to have their Cane Card taken away, among other things...
Seems like the only ones that support him at this point are the decision makers….

CIS is just between firing Manny, burning the school down or axing Florida from the rest of the country all together….

This sounds a bit like fiction writing to me. I was there. James Williams, Cam Harris, and I forget who else had walked down to my endzone. When Andy missed, they were distraught. They crouched and bowed their heads. They stuck around for a couple minutes in what looked like disbelief, then went off the field. Not surprised a "feature article" on a website that needs views has a random narrative most people will embrace because it aligns with intution.

ferman makes up stuff? you dont say...

Caring and Pain starts at the top. If the top of the food chain don’t care ~ the Generals and Leaders, why on God’s Earth should the foot soldiers give a ****…

Ray Charles can even see WTF is going on at Da U.

We're at the inventing narratives stage of the downfall. Mostly everyone now has a special story or narrative to make them a deep part of the bandwagon. This is my least favorite part of our cycle. Can't wait till we move into the "hope" phase where we start talking about names we eventually never hire.
