Fight broke out during Canes practice.

I was told not to discuss it. So I left it off the board. There was a fight , but let’s be real….I’ve been posting the locker room is very toxic for a minute now. I’ve been consistent about this since Msu.

This is why a strong head coach is so important.

People want players to lead and hold others accountable, laying hands on guys if need be.

The thing they don’t get is if the head coach isn’t strong enough of a leader, this type of behavior will fracture a locker room.

Tbh when I said they should be hitting each other in practice this isn't what I meant...
Gotta be honest this exactly what should be happening. If you give a half *** effort better be prepared to catch a full *** whoopin. Better to learn that lesson on Wednesday and not Saturday.

Been around a lot of teams in my life playing multiple sports in college and coaching multiple sports in college. 7/10 times the locker room turmoil is what happens right before everything collapses. The other 3/10 times stuff gets straightened out and fixes the issue. If it's toxic turmoil it's gonna be the 70% most likely. If it's a tight-knit locker room and it pops off you're far more likely to turn it around.

The sad part of this is.. they can't overcome the limitations of our offensive and defensive philosophies and it's gonna only get worse.. Even if they wanted it to get better.

I'd prepare to not even make a bowl game.

Spot on.
