simpson wasnt going back to bama. internally, they had moved on. theyre all in on the back up who was a freshman last year.
it was transfer or draft like Beck. if beck didnt have the UCL, he prolly goes draft rather than miami.
in the end, beck made the right move as he looks to be picked in a mid rounds which is def higher than I thought he would go if he went straight to draft after his last year at UGA and the injury.
CAA is huge though also. they literally rep nearly everyone in media and sports. they dont need to pump a random QB up imo. their client list is way bigger than just ty simpson.
in the end, Mendoza is being studied more closely than he was during the season and the warts are coming through. hes not a bad kid. hes got a clear ceiling. I also think you have the raiders pushing this out to media so it wont be shock if they dont take Mendoza first overall.
