It doesn’t matter who we have at QB. Unless it’s a #1 overall pick with elite NFL arm talent, who even then had to pull miracles out, this staff will make it harder than it needs to be on the QB to succeed.
.Mendoza is way better than anything we have. Kid would win us games
Absolutely. A Kurtis Rourke is a star at the college level.
It's easy to forget, but out of thousands of college football players, to be one of ~255 players drafted will almost always mean you were a star college player or a physical freak.
Mendoza is a good college QB that Miami could win with. I definitely sold him short calling him a rich man's Emory. He's better than that.
He's just not Carson Beck (who I have always had an affinity for and maybe haven't moved off that prior far enough, but I think his high end outcomes are just a different tier).
Molly McGrath, the sideline reporter, who, in addition to stating Miami's D was in panic mode (while Mario just stood stoic on the sideline, heaven forbid the HC takes 20 seconds to fire up his D) also later reported that Beck was holding his throwing arm in the same place he injured it/surgery was performed on it.His elbow is fine. It’s time to start letting that go. He’s 100% healthy now.
At this point, you need an all americans across the offensive line and prime Derrick Henry to overcome Mario/Mirabel’s tendencies. It doesn’t matter who we have at QB. Carson out here killing me.
uh there is a built of difference in the competition level. dudes best record came at division 2. stop
Mendoza is at 2,124 yds with 3 regular season games left. Gonna need Big Championship game and playoff games to get to 3,600 yards but he elevated his passing % from 68.7% to 72.3% so real shot to get to 75%.I think Accuracy is top 2 in terms of importance. I agree with what you say.
Cam improved his accuracy and generally, most QBs are what they are but Cam went from 60% up to 67% and I feel he left another 3% out there because in this offense he should’ve been at 70% taking some easier throws but Cam is just elite and made up for it in so many ways.

In the end, regarding Mendoza, who was at what, 70% this past season, he could go very well hit 73-75% in this offense and throw for 3,600+ yards since he threw for 3,000 at Cal.

25 TDs and 4 INts with 4 rushing TDs. **** of a season so far.
@ST26I’m an accuracy guy then mix in Dawsons offense. Being smart and accurate goes a very long way. Just take care of the ball and be efficient. If that happens we’ll be fine. That’s why I’ve been a Mendoza guy.
Can already tell he’s going to kill those 1:1 draft interviews with teams. One of the reasons he was one of my top guys . Smarts goes a long ways and he had more than enough physical talent.
CIS being so against him makes me think he’ll actually have a good year.
