now that we've established all this athletic apparell is assembled with the same quality by the same child slaves, the issue is now that its symbloic because nike is #1? good lord :stephenahand:

Touche. He doesn't want or need anything else to worry about though.

Agreed, although a switch to Adidas might spur sales of jerseys when they change the jerseys.

changing from a swoosh mark to 3 stripes screams mediocrity? or is it the product on the field? i swear you guys are brainwashed at the church of nike its not that serious bro. mediocre adidas? you know they use the same materials and slaves as nike to build products **** yall are gullible as ****

My point went over your head.

you claim adidas sucks and is mediocre when they use the same materials as nike and no difference in craftsmanship, the corporate marketing has really worked you over if you believe nike is so superior. i doubt people identify miami with nike as much as you think i didnt even know auburn was with under armour until someone mentioned it in this thread nobody pays attention to a little logo patch on the jersey its the on the field play. that adidas logo didnt stop bridgewater from destroying this nike team

You know Teddy is sponsored by Nike right lol? C'mon man, you know what I'm saying.[/QUOTE]

bruh louisville stomped a mudhole in this squad twice with adidas gear thats a fact and they won a bcs bowl

Yep. A few forum posts establish that.

well enlighten me on the superior craftsmanship of nike over adidas, maybe nike uses 15 year olds while adidas uses 8 year olds? what is it

Has anyone explained how this money is actually going to benefit the athletic department?

That is not the question(s) you meant to ask.

You want to know does anyone know if this money will actually go to the athletic department and how will it be spent?

OK.

And

Will UHealth ever been profitable on their own?

Probably. Most healthcare ventures are successful. I think UHealth is the classic story of an entity that grew too rapidly. There will be consolidation in that market and the expansion will slow and they should actually be well-positioned going forward.

I can't believe this thread has made it to 17 pages. Apparently the soft shouldered **** attitude perpetrated by Golden and Co. has even affected the fans. You mother****ers are way too concerned with product these guys are wearing.

22 pages on the WEZ, and I came to the same conclusion. If you care more about the designer logo than the on-field product, you're part of the problem.

Our best days ever came wearing Russell f'kin' Athletic jerseys, and everybody sweating Miami Starter jackets. I give no ****s about Nike if they don't want to match the extra 3 million.

Agree with this.

And here is the thing, if we had a competent administration (which we don't) this would be a dream come true. The 4 million extra could go to 2 mill a year more for a big time HC and the other 2 mill to increase the assistant salary. 4.5 million a year at Miami is all of a sudden a very very attractive job.

The $3 million would be spread across all sports at UM, football would get a portion, not the whole thing.

If it was $3 million directly to the football program and we knew that they would use it to upgrade our coaching staff and/or build an indoor practice facility, then I'm sure more would be behind this.

But you know how incompetent this administration is and we all know that turning around our football program is not a priority for them.

Their greedy a$$es are fine taking their $3million while sinking this program further into mediocrity with all the other Adidas teams.

That would be great. When should we expect this to happen? 2025?

Football without a doubt is responsible for most of the apparel sales but you know the admin would spread it around, new golfing and tennis stuff! If you want to play big boy football you (mostly) gotta keep up with the Joneses.

Its 3 million extra not 3 million and i cant believe Miami fans are crying about a damm logo, Nike been making money off our U brand for to long the market has changed they have to pay the market value or we take our brand elsewhere. plus Adidas just stole 2 of Nike best Designers and i think they own the rights to that skin tight design because it seems like they gear fits tighter then Nike and UA, And if Kansas got 6 million we could most definitely get 8.

Second class gear for a second class progrum.

Yep. Anyone who thinks differently is a moron. Horrible decision from the school.

DHucks long post had it on the money.

It's symbolic. It's not so much Nike and Adidas, but what it's symbolizing. Miami at one point was top of the world football wise, so Nike naturally would fit the bill as they're on top of their world as well. To move away from that speaks to how the athletics are viewed right now. Adidas ain't nothing, forget all the sheep talk. Affluent folks don't trade their Mercedes E Class for a Hyundai Equus. It's not becoming of who they are. The University of Miami is NOT becoming of f'n Adidas. Adidas is a step above Russell.

Wrong

addidas uses the ****tiest fabric for uniforms their pants look like long underwear all loose with the players junk sloshing all over the place i dont wanna see that ****

Lol it took 22 pages to establish that a bunch of you are sheeple and will buy anything with a Nike swoosh on it

giphy (9).gif

marketing at its finest. the **** is the same. the fabric is all the same. the swoosh changes ur perception of it = marketing FTW
