Fermaninator says get your Adidas Cane gear

The switch to Adidas put's the annual payout between $7.5 and $8.0 million dollars and you guys are complaining, why? This is a good thing and Adidas outfits 11 of the 65 Power Conference schools and is second only to Nike and they are building their brand. Most of the SEC West wears Adidas and they aren't doing too bad. Here is a list of Adidas schools:

ACC: Boston College-Under Armour (UA), Georgia Tech-Russell Athletic, Louisville-adidas, NC State-adidas

Big 10: Indiana-adidas, Michigan-adidas, Nebraska-adidas, Wisconsin-adidas; Maryland-UA, Northwestern-UA,

Big 12: Kansas-adidas, Texas Tech-UA

Pac 12: UCLA-adidas, Utah-UA

SEC: Auburn-UA, Mississippi State-adidas, South Carolina-UA, Tennessee-adidas, Texas A&M-adidas

Independent: Notre Dame-UA

This is a good thing, nothing wrong with being different.

And I don't ever want to be anything like any of those schools.

We are ******* UM and we were the first to sign with Nike.

This would be a huge move in the wrong direction.

We want to be more like the 4 teams in the playoffs than these^^^ teams

fyi, tennessee is nike starting next year.

And Arizona State will be leaving Nike to go with Adidas.

Yes, one school(Tenn) trying to move up from the mediocrity(last NC 16 years ago) even if it means less money from Nike.

And a smaller school who will never be a NC contender and knows it who needs more money in ASU.

I am shocked at some of you that are making a big deal of this. anything that brings the program more money is a good thing in my book. and this is probably a non- issue to most recruits. plus adidas makes cooler superior quality gear than nike in my opinion.

Well sir that is your opinion, not 16-18 year old kids who we are trying to recruit.

Go to any 7 on 7 or camp and check what all these kids are rocking.

Well over 80% are rocking Nike cleats and gloves, and some are wearing Nike shorts or shirts or sweatbands, and have a **** Nike bag.

THANK YOU!!! It's called the NIKE SPARQ competition...the NIKE football camp....

PREACH, HOMIE!!!

This thread is hilarious. Of all the problems plaguing this program right now, the uniform manufacturer is the least of my concerns. I'm pretty sure at least 3 of the top 10 schools in the current 2015 recruiting rankings are Adidas schools.

3 adidas 3 UA. in top 15. 1 ua and 1 adidas in top 10

Guess who the 4 teams in the playoffs and the winner of the last 15 NCs is/was sponsored by?

Nike

Auburn is sponsored by Nike?

I had to think when Auburn won the title and when they had Cam Newton, they had switched to UA. Good call.

True

Forgot about that one, but we all know that Auburn straight bought Cam Newton and wouldn't have won that NC without him.

THIS^^^ and the one they all want to be invited to, The Opening by Nike

did yall forget who our decision makers are? They would do anything for extra money even if it means severing ties to Nike...... smh...

No kid wants to wear Adidas.

At this rate the basketball team will come out in LA Gearz light up shoes in a few years.

We win 10 plus games a year I could care less. Play in shoes from Payless for all I care

You don't seem to realize this.

It is not about what you or I care about us wearing, it is the recruits and they definitely care.

I could care less if my Miami shirt has a Nike check on it, but the recruits want to play for a program where they would be wearing Nike cleats, gloves and gear which are miles better than Adidas or UA.

Man that's what hurts...This admin almost cut it's own wrist by getting in bed w/ a known sleeze ball in Nevin Shapiro just b/c he gave up some dough. This school is killing our image. We still have these rigid rules in regards to admittance into the school. We parade fluff stats to justify bad decision after bad decision. We're about to break the first relationship of its kind for some up-front money, when that up front money is going to burn us on the back end. We're about to partner up w/ a FUTBOL company....lol. It makes perfect sense, especially since that's all we've been playing the last several years, FUTBOL instead of Miami brand American Football.

It's funny how people say Nike has screwed us over, and that our last three uniforms have been hideous. Guess what?

1) The admin is really to blame! The product sucks, and the brand we had has deteriorated because of it. Why is Nike gonna pump all that money into us when we aren't relevant right now? Blame the admin. Again.

2) The recent unis are gorgeous. They were ranked as one of the top new uniforms this season. Better yet, the players, the ones who wear them and the ones whose opinion actually matters, love them.

Texas A&M just landed a 5 star today. I was told 5 stars only wanna wear Nike. Whats the deal?

some players wouldn't go to a non nike school ? LOL sorry but butch davis could get elite talent to come to a school sponsored by Walmart

Did cam help em make the national title game last year? It's all about coaching not the ******* logo on a shirt. We've had Nike for years and lost for a decade straight. We still outrecruit everybody outside of fsu and still lose in conference. If the money goes towards a new coach then **** it sign w Adidas or UA. Coaching will help us more than a logo

My post had nothing to do with our record, and everything to do with the people complaining about Nike vs. Adidas. No uniform brand is gonna come and save us. Unless they put pressure on the admin to do their job and being in a real coach- which won't happen.

Just like Adidas sponsors a handful of Power 5 teams, a handful of 5 star recruits leak into Adidas wearing school. I promise you, once Texas comes back into the fold as a National Power, TAMU won't be getting anymore 5 star recruits.

So it has nothing to do with a coach that kids want to play for. Its gotta be the shoes.

Dudes have to be trolling this issue.

They can't really believe football recruits are picking schools based on what athletics company sponsors the program ... LOL :nba-wade_amused-amu
