Ferman reporting the money is now there to get Mario

if you don’t care about the club scene then a lot of these schitholes are nicer to live in than Miami.

this is true. some burbs are nice in sfl (obviously like any other place in america, literally), but if youre past clubbing, not much of a diff in burbs from orlando or tampa to SFL. ****, broward burbs look like every other manicured neighborhood in the country.

One more time for everyone in the back: MARIO IS NOT LEAVING OREGON FOR MIAMI. His situation there is 10,000 times better than the situation at Miami, better resources, more money, high ranked recruits. What would make any of you think he would leave that? Because of the hotbed Florida recruits? The ones that flip flop more than a pair of sandals? He’s doing just fine in Eugene. He doesn’t need the headache of trying to piece back together this mess
LOL at the self-loathing UM fans who think Oregon is a better situation for a Cuban UM alum than UM. Oregon is a better situation right this minute BECAUSE OF Beanerdict Arnold. He made it the better situation. He could just as easily make this the better situation.

He probably would have last year before we hired Diaz.

But since winning the Pac-12 & experiencing early success in his tenure, no way he does now.

He just beat us on the trail for the #1 LB in the country, he can see clear as day wtf is going on with this program lol
Come on dude. I know you’re down on the program, but Beanerdict beat us for a West Coast kid because of himself, not because Oregon is somehow now this elite program. If he was the coach here, we would have got Flowe. That’s exactly why a lot of people want him here.

You guys are tripping with this Tagfart voodoo parallel too. Tagfart failed at his dream job because he’s a total failure. That’s why Shanntard failed at his dream job.

You don’t fail at your job just because you really want the job. You fail because you suck, and Tagfart sucks. If Mario doesn’t suck, then he’s kill it here just like Norvell is probably going to kill it at the place Tagfart just failed. It’s not the place; it’s the guy.

You can't compare recruiting in the middle of a fuggin hippie woodland hellhole vs recruiting smack dab in the center of the football talent universe.

That is an awful argument.
Tell them. These guys have no clue what a desolate wasteland Eugene Oregon is.

All they see is a locker room with Toto toilets and think the place is heaven on earth. Once you’ve had warm cleansing Toto water blown up your *** a few times, then what? A couple trips to the chocolate fountain? A shoulder rub by the green M&M?

It’s like visiting Times Square. Once you see the flashing lights a couple times it’s old.

Yes. Phil Knight isn't the only Oregon supporter with Nike, there's several. Oregon is a lucrative brand for them. And Phil isn't their only rich booster lol, they have many millionaires that contribute to their program from the Tech world.

Okay, let's hypotheically say Miami isn't a career killer, can you name me a coach in the last 2 decades whose career has blossomed by coming here?

I get it, he's a former Cane & Miami is his dream job, he'll leave as soon as we offer him a nice contract & double his salary, then he'll come to Miami & start winning ships just like JJ...

When that happens let me know because I'll know soon after that Judgement day is near because **** must have frozen over.
You couldn’t name many coaches whose careers blossomed at USC in the many years between Robinson and Carroll or at Oklahoma in the long dry period between Switzer and Stoops or LSU before Sabag or Alabaga between Bear and Sabag (with the exception of a couple years of Stallings who, interestingly rescued his dream program before it went right back into the toilet for over a decade after he left prior to Sabag coming in).

I got that from ESPN trust me I didn't make that up myself

Dallas Cowboys are the #1 biggest and most important brand in the sport of football, period.

They can have anyone they want. They can cherry pick any head coach from the NFL or college.

They ain’t settling for Dan ******* Mullen.

ESpN is clowning

But if it’s the better situation because he made it the better situation, what motivation is there to come back to a worse situation, with higher expectations when you are doing well at Oregon anyways? I don’t loathe Oregon, I’m simply stating that Mario has a better situation there and will not leave to come be the side show clown at Miami when our fan base flies banners any time we lose

Listen I agree with Dallas being America's team fans are everywhere but let's stop with the have anyone they want. Can they entice alot of guys **** yeah they are a Savage brand and I can admit that as a Giants fan. But a guy like Rhule ain't going to Dallas because of the circus Jerry Jones runs. They have to pick someone who's willing to have his mouth breathing *** on their shoulders and that **** can get sort of toxic.

I never said Oregon is an Elite program, it doesn't have to be elite in order to be better than Miami.

Oregon has had more success than Miami over the last 20 years with 3 different coaches despite being smack dab in the middle of the nowhere in the Northwest, that's not because they have access to better recruits, it's because it's a program that actually spends money & gives a **** about football.

The truth is staring everybody right in the face with Miami, 20 years of ineptitude from 5 different coaches isn't an accident, it's a pattern.

Is Cristobal going to be the one exception to the rule that returns Miami to prominence? You're smart man Chise, what are the odds of that actually happening?

Until we get a BOT, President, and AD that actually cares about winning BIG at UM, nothing else matters. LCE, you are one of the best posters here. I agree with you. Always like your insight.

He doesn’t have a better situation there. He won 10 games and the PAC and still had a recruiting class right around the level of Manure’s. It’s not like he’s been there 20 years and is Mr. Desolate Wasteland.

On top of that, we’re not talking about Jerry Whitehippie who grew up eating Grape Nuts and hunting possum. This is a UM guy who supposedly loves his alma mater.

And when they’ve hired the wrong guys they’ve struggled even worse than UM. It’s all about the leaders. When Oregon has the wrong leader they immediately died despite how great the program supposedly is.

When USC smartens up, that program will go back to 2nd fiddle where it belongs.

Where was Oregon’s BOT, President and AD when Helfrich tore the program up?

Hire the right HC, and UM will turn around. We had 10 good games under Rickety, and the country was fellating us. String together 3 good seasons and watch what happens.

Maybe just maybe Zo is being brought in as the executioner to clean house. BOT gets the money together buyout let’s say Mario. Spin it in the media as Highsmiths first coaching hire as Chief of Staff. As stingy as these clowns been with allocating that ACC money to the football program I’m sure they got hella money to throw around. But whatever
What if Hightower doesn't want Mario as his HC?

Worse case scenario with Mario is recruiting drastically improves and Oline is fixed. Even if he doesn't win here bring the program to an elite level the job would be alot more attractive during his tenure. Oline fix is a guarantee. Not to mention he puts together a much better staff. We stick with Manny and a grab a great OC all we do is delay the inevitable and continue the stagnation. I am not saying Mario is elite or will win championships but he is probably the best coach we could get right now.

Sorry to bump this pos thread. Just didn’t want to make another. Would Mario really be the answer to our hire/fire rinse repeat coaching clusterfuk?

Mario is undoubtedly more qualified then our resident bum. Having said that, unless this school is going to really up the budget for position coaches, I’d like to see us with a HC who can coach QBs. Otherwise we will always be an OC departure away from wrecking our team.

Remember when Ferman tried to push his agenda of a Mario and Highsmith combo on the fanbase as if it was fact, and everybody ate it up?
