If we are actually willing to spend, why the **** is our top target Mario? Lol I mean why not shake the trees and give Urban a call? Mario should be further down the list.

Urban is a complete sack of **** and I’d take him any day. Better make a 3-4 year plan for the “heart issues” or whatever though. I like Mario too but neither is happening. If Alonzo is coming I’d bet it’s some type of scenario where you help us pick the OC and give Manny a year then it’s your truck to drive.

I knew that would be brought up as an example but do you really think our situation with Zo would be equivalent to what FSU is trying to do with that position? Not to mention that I'm obviously not part of the Luigi Cult but he'd be coming in here not exactly from Memphis and with a whole lot more leverage than a guy getting his first big job.

Mario is on the cusp of nailing down two more Pac12 titles and maybe making a Playoff in his first 4 years at Oregon.. Not only will Oregon extend him and he will git his money now, he will be able to be in the conversation for any job he wants.. Saban retires and he will get looked at by Bama, NFL could come calling.. Or Mario can come home to the U on his own time and make them back the Brinks truck up to get him..

Mario would be a fool to walk away from what he has at Oregon, he has the chance to make his name go to the top of the college coaching ranks in the next two years!!

Mario's vision is also the Big Oline, pound the rock like Bama did with Mark Ingram and Derick Henry, he aint got that Oline at the U right now.. So The U is a total rebuild for Marios vision.. Mario also needs to fix his in game fck ups, learn to save a timeout to ice a kicker.. He needs to get that Saban opened up his offense.. If Mario wants to make the playoff he has to open his offense up and get a little better in game as a coach.. If Mario makes the playoffs with his pound the rock and at times very predicable offense he will have the worst offense of the 4 teams..

I love lots about Mario.. He has a compete every day culture much like Pete Carrol did.. EE are coming in and if your good enough then you are pressing kids ahead of you for playing time in the Spring.. Mario is iron sharpens iron guy, he don't play favs, you keep what you kill in his program..

- Easy road to the playoffs IF he can manage an undefeated season in the near future
- Can recruit nationally & get high level kids up to Eugene, including Florida boys
- Top level facilities

OR...

- Come to Miami & deal with Mangina James, Jenn Strawley & a BOT that's on permanent vacation
- Won't be given enough money to hire the assistants you want
- Will not have necessary financial support from the administration, recruiting budget allocation will be pennies on the dollar
- Will have to recruit against major P5 schools for local recruits while having no Bag dropping support on the ground
- Boosters that don't give AF about football
- 2nd class facilities
- No on campus stadium
- Fickle toxic fan base that will be calling for him to be fired after the first game he loses
- Will be ridiculed & crowned in the media if you fail at your hometown school
- Play in half full stadium away from campus & will not have a patient supportive fan base
- Ruin the upward trajectory of your career by going back home & getting fired in 2-3 years

If Mario left his situation at Oregon I would seriously question if there's something wrong with his head, you'd have to be on some hardcore drugs to make that dumb of a decision.

Money ain't a issue, Oregon is going to give him an extension & pay raise, there's literally not one single legitimate reason for Cristobal to leave Oregon for Miami, not one.

Blake has no true power and is just a marching boy for the BOT. The bot says jump and Blake says how high. The bot says Blake your not in charge of football anymore but will let you keep the title of AD, Blake says thank you sir for letting me keep my job. The dude has no say over anything. The only reason Diaz is coach is because that faction that’s in bed with senior won out last year and you can better believe they’ve been humbled and won’t be making the next coaching decision. That decision will rightly key with the faction that wanted to bring in Mario last year.
