Ferman is hinting that Highsmith deal is on the way

I actually think Enos would do well atUGA

Kirby tried to poach Enos from Bielema at Arkansas and now he is losing Pittman to Arkansas...seems to me like a good opportunity for Kirby to hire Enos and Barry with comepinga Coley remaining on staff as Asst Head Coach Croquettes Coordinator or something along those lofty SEC title lines where he can continue to recruit and make alot of money.

"If you fail, fail forward."

If if if (BIG if’s), but if true, I have questions.

Do any other schools had some sort of comparable position? Is there any precedent for this sort of thing? Would he be allowed to recruit? What say would he have on scholly offers? (If any?)

Check back a few pages for answers to that question

@caneinorlando you talk to any of your boys to see if there’s some truth to AH interest or possibility?
Nothing on my end...I've heard the rumors...and with the Brown's in disarray (once again) I wouldn't be surprised at him back at UM in some capacity...As @The Franchise said...He was one Tough, No Nonsense SOB...

For this alone, he deserves a Job at UM in some sort of capacity...This level of Ruthless Savagery Shook America up....

I think it could work, but AH doesn’t need complete autonomy. We need a buffer between James and the football program. We need somebody to rip HC a new a**hole when they drop games to teams like FIU. You shouldn’t need to take staff decisions away from your hc, if you do he probably shouldn’t be the head coach. Manny should however have to submit a list of candidates for open staff positions to AH for approval, if he agrees fine go get your guy manny if not look harder and try again. If/ when the time comes to hire a new HC AH puts a list together for James to sign off on, and then he should be allowed to shoot his shot at those candidates. Since it has been reported that James does not like to confront his coaches you hire someone to do it for him. To filter out the bulls***, and you have someone for the HC to run staff decisions by/ sign off on. It should bring accountability to the HC and football operation.
Coach L contacted him about the job.

Welp.

Just to add- this arrangement also spares Diaz the embarrassment of firing his friends. He probably knows he needs to make changes and go to a spread O but doesn't have the heart to fire Enos after one year, especially after getting him to leave Bama. Firing him pretty much means Enos coaching career is done or will take a huge step backwards. No one will consider him for OC or HC, so he'll have to work his way back up again as a QB coach. However if Highsmith is the hatchetman and decides Enos has to go, it makes Diaz's life a lot easier.
