20 yards: (out of bounds at the Canes 47 yard line)

34 yards: (out of bounds at the LSU 42 yard line)

22 yards: (out of bounds at the LSU 44 yard line)


There is simply no excuse for him being allowed to continue to punt the football.

First one wasn't really his fault. The next two were inexcusable. But the bottom line is this: Hartley does not have our ST ready to play each week, and the evidence for that is that we always have at least two ST blunders every game. This runs deeper than Feagles. I'm not making excuses for him, but if you have a weak kicker — who possesses little confidence — your punt protection can't hang him out to dry on the first punt of the season so that it's almost blocked. I blame Hartley the most for this abortion of a unit.

He single-handedly put our entire defensive game plan behind the eight ball.

The freshman kicker missing a 45 yard field goal that would have given us the lead needs to be mentioned as well. Our defense playing with a lead puts excess pressure on the other team's offense. We were never given that opportunity because of these two kids. Baxa is a true freshman playing his first college game. Feagles needs to be replaced.
 
Crazy thing is him shanking first punt probably prevented it from being blocked and returned for score. WHole special team is a dumpster fire when a guy can go right up the middle untouched and they werent even sending heavy pressure.

Kid was soo surprised he didnt even lay out for the ball, just stuck his hand out.
 
Our special teams seem incomprehensibly unprepared. Lots of mental errors. Rarely have a competitive advantage. Individual specialists mentally break down over the last couple years.

I mean, come on, we didn't hit an extra point to tie a game against FSU a couple years back because of mass hysteria after a TD. Get it together.

I should have added that he did this while making his FOURTEENTH START AS A COLLEGE PUNTER.

It's been like this since Rick got here. Even Gorlden had better special teams than Rick has had at Miami.
 
So many ppl wanted to keep Hartley bc he can recruit smh... he is the worst position coach of all time at any position. It’s not just the kickers inability to kick but also our punt protection is fckd, LSU could’ve crashed up the middle every time for a block punt it was so wide open.

We don’t know how to block on kick or punt returns either... and are terrible filling the lanes and tackling on kick offs as well. Hartley gotta go and take Feagles *** with him.

That's 25 yards per punt.
Most teams in the country averaged 42-43 yards per punt last year.

Flip those LSU posessions to:
LSU 35, LSU 24, LSU 26 and they get a little more conservative in play calling and sure as **** don't go for it on 4th down.

Richt has ZERO business asking Baxa to kick that ******* FG. It’s 3rd and 6, you get a ******* first down

Baxa pulled that first miracle off and only an ******* coach sends him back out for a 45 yarder

Dude must have the yips in front of big crowds...

Either way you cant tell me you couldnt find anyone on campus or in a tryout for a scholly who couldnt punt the ball

The kicker deal we should have got a JUCO or transfer.... no way you roll out there with a true frosh kicker with those high school stats
 
We have a grad transfer kicker. Why didn't he get a chance?
