No Graig Cooper 20 replies in is surprising
Didn’t even realize nobody mentioned him. Honestly I feel like an unfortunately high percentage of my favorite players over those years were tight ends lolBrevin
Surprised no one mentions guys like Colin Mccarthy or Allen Bailey.
Allen Bailey was a beast, and Colin Mccarthy was a classic overachieving Linebacker.
Once Duper starting working out with Leonard Hankerson, guy turned into an absolute beast of an WR.
Don't need to forget guys like Braxton Berrios, Greg Olsen, and Sean Spence was great as well.
Always thought of N'joku as the dynamic TE (ala Shannon Sharpe, etc.), whereas Clive Walford was the classic 'check-down, grind it out' TE.My first season being a real canes fan was 2010 (8 years old), my family didn’t have cable so I would go on the computer and pull up the ESPN game cast and have Canes Radio for the audio and I’d sit there and monitor every second.
top favorites since then:
- Duke Johnson
- Gerald Willis
- Jaquan Johnson
- David Njoku/Clive Walford (tie)
- Jaelan Phillips
- X
- Philip Dorsett
Clive being our all time receiving leader at tight end is a solid piece of triviaAlways thought of N'joku as the dynamic TE (ala Shannon Sharpe, etc.), whereas Clive Walford was the classic 'check-down, grind it out' TE.
Two very different ways of being a TE being played very well.
IMO, Clive would be amazing in this system we have now.
We can't forget how good Jimmy Graham was, and he was a basketball player that played for one year. xDClive being our all time receiving leader at tight end is a solid piece of trivia
