favorite all time player

Melvin Bratton - gave his knee playing for the U. Greatly affected his NFL career.

The Stork - Ted Hendrix. He carried a team all by himself into respectability when no respectability existed before him. He stood up to Notre Dame and gave them fits. He was an awesome player for really bad UM teams.

Have to disagree about no respectability before Hendrix. That 1950 team was undefeated regular season and went to the Orange bowl. Had some very respectable teams late 40,s and in the 50,s

NO. He played for some fair teams and at least one very good team in his three years of eligibility. I think the '67 team was in the top 10. Even if '66 and '68 were not good, I'm not sure they were "really bad." I'd have to look up the records but I don't know if they were really bad.

You are right, 67 was a very good. I think every guy on that d line with Ted played in the pros.

Either way, The Mad Stork is my favorite and GOAT but have to give shout out the Thrill since he has two of my top three plays ever.

Offense - Willis McGahee. That 2002 season he had starting with the first game I attended vs UF where he had 204 yards all the way to the tragic end against OSU in the 2003 Fiesta Bowl was special. Best season ever by a Canes RB.

Defense - ST26. I’ve never seen a more talented, physically imposing, skilled, harder-hitting DB in my lifetime! He was almost not human. Ed Reed would be a close 2nd for me. He wasn’t the most talented or physically imposing but he was by far the smartest DB I’ve ever seen play and I’ve never seen another DB that had the knack to make the big play more than ER.

To think that I went to school at UM with all of the aforementioned players during the last “golden era” at The U is still a tremendous source of pride for me.
