I was more upset about FIU doing a Vice Night and painting a 3-0-5 on their midfield (with a panther as the 0).

Miami could start winning important games and stop giving away games that they’re supposed to win. That would be a good place to start.

Respect is earned, and our Canes have done nothing to earn that respect in almost 20 years (with the exception of most of the 2017 season).

Disrespect? Nah, FAU isn't even close to our level. That's just a school trying to get theirs. Nothing wrong with them for trying. If you perceive it as a slight against us then maybe you think we are on their level, which we aren't.

on a side note, we sold 1400 more sts for hoops. FAU sold out basically all of theirs (they only hold 3k)
 
This is actually pretty good strategy imo. By putting out a bold ****y proclamation marketing slogan that you're the real king in south florida you might be able to position yourself to dominate the hungry/confident second tier south florida kids who view themselves as overlooked first tier kids.

Some of you guys might want to toughen up a bit. Clemson week and you're going to get distracted by a marketing campaign by one of the babies in the family? Beat Clemson, even in a down year, and it will be better than anything Boca Raton U has done in its entire existence.

They would still have released the video, but they would definitely not have included the part about “owning” the tri-county area.

They’re kicking the Canes while they’re down. But guess what? Just like when the bully hits you in school and then you had enough and whoop his ***, the Canes gotta take their respect back. It was taken from them in cowardly fashion by Terry Porter at the Fiesta Bowl, and our team has never been the same since.

The tragedy of it all is that none of our coaches since have been able to identify that as the catalyst for the subsequent almost 20 years of abject failure and national embarrassment.

We need a coach that embraces what happened on that fateful night, and uses it as fuel to build the monster that we know it can be, and to give the double finger salute to the NCAA, the corrupt refs, the MSM, and the rest of CFB and their hater fans.
