I agree with this assertion. I was arguing with a bunch of fans from other schools on Twitter after Stuart Mandel made some snarky *** comment about how the Grace/AQM suspensions might force Mimai fans to stop having delusional expectations for this season. I made the point that the ACCC is weak and there is no reason we cannot compete for the conference championship. Mandel and others jumped all over me with comments like "it's the same schedule you had last year", and "you haven't had a 10 win season in years", etc. It's like they truly do not comprehend just how bad our coaching has been and just how much of an upgrade Richt represents.

I hate when guys take about last year. 10 of the 11 starters on defense will be different from the game against FAU last year. To expect the same thing to me would be silly. You add the scheme change, and more speed on defense from guys losing weight, and the team is totally different.

Just hope they come up with good plays to test our secondary and LBs in the passing game. They did it last year against a garbage scheme. I hope they do it this year so that we have stuff to fix. A puffed up Yearby looked like Ladanian Tomlinson against them last season. That's all you need to know about the outcome of the game.

The FAU board is an example of why you should never sniff glue or huff paint and then immediately post messages on a forum. They will experience the difference. They better bring the Kleenex and barf bags with them.

I think we shock the world and beat Miami. Remember that we almost beat them last year, and they lose a lot of talent. They were not that good then… and they are not that good now.

Trey Hendrickson will eat. I don't see anyone on Miami's roster who can match his production. Azeez Al-Shaair and Nate Ozdemir will play up to their potential. So I really don't see them moving the ball that well against us.

We showed a lot of heart last week against SIU with how we fought them off.

But let's take a closer look at Miami. Their QB Kaaya is overrated as they come - dude can't throw on the move for the life of him and he requires a perfect pocket to make a decent throw. The kid is straight-up soft. All we have to do is get a good pass rush on them and we can shut him down boys. Hendrickson will tattoo that string bean.

Their running game looked legit, but that was FAMU. I say their offensive line looked horrible.

But what I really see this game is as an opportunity for our offense to break out - and we're overdue. But IMO Driskell has shown flashes and honestly, the Miami secondary is is mostly true freshman running around lost out there. We will have plenty of opportunities to light them up.

They hired a new coach - Mark Richt was fired at Georgia for losing too much. In fact he had the same record as Al Golden last year.

I say FAU rolls. FAU over Miami by two touchdowns.

Aside from FSU and UF.... when local schools talk s*it vs us it ****es me off what Golden made us look like

FAU, FIU, USF and UCF should never go into a game saying "we can beat them" etc...

I want to pound them and make them remember it... hang 50 plus on them and don't allow any points and pour it on their fans as well

Christ FCS school just took them for 500 yards of total offense... we need to start setting that tone again about our program!
 
This is when I realize I'm getting old (I'm 33). We are reading FAU boards? Really?
 
Is this different than the FAU board thread in some way that is not obvious?

If goldens team won 8 last year, richt will win at least 1 or 2 more games with similar schedule, fuq Stuart Mandel and his mouse face

I could not get them to acknowledge that point. I kept saying "do you really think Richt loses to Cincinnati or Washington State?" No response. They just continued to assert that Miami fans are delusional and living in the past. As if no other program has down years before hiring the right coach.
