Fans - The Direction of our Hatred

...should not be towards Al Golden. This aids-filled fire dumpster of a recruiting class is exactly what one would expect when you go 6-7, fail to make any exciting staff changes after such a deplorable season, and retain a head coach who is arguably the worst in the country and who clearly wants to leave. So let's direct our hate and angst towards the people to blame for this ****ing disaster: the UM administration. They bring to together a violent mix of incompetence and apathy that appears to be truly destroying this program, one that should thrive in perpetuity given our prime location in the middle of the foremost recruiting hotbed.

I have not felt so low about this program ever, probably because I was born after Lou Saban became the HC. If ANYONE attends games next year, they assist in ringing the death knell for this one storied program. Sad, sad day for us true fans.

Thank you map. Finally, reason and common sense.

Toxicity, hating and the infantile name calling only degrades the environment.

Calling golden childish names and endlessly repeating his failings is practically pointless.

The performance record of Golden and his staff: res ipsa loquitor.

Hating does nothing to improve the situation. The bot and new administration need the facts of poor performance. They need the drum beat of the facts of incompetence.

The fan base and recruits don't need the constant childish name-calling and hate. This only pollutes our future.

Map you are spot on.

Ps if golden were sacked tomorrow I'd be ok with that.

Yep. Nothing to see here people. Move along. Everything's fine. Shake it off. Alls well that ends well.

Slurper.

Totally agree, Map.

As much as it pains me, I have decided to cancel my spring trip for a Canes baseball series. Believe me, that will hurt me more than UM, but I feel like I have to do something.

Every little bit has to help, this is a grass roots effort by the "stupid fans" f/k/a Mopes. Best thing is to hurt them in the pocket, they understand that.

It's over, man. It's dead. Donezo.
Sad to say I think this is spot on. There's just an unwillingness on the part of the Higher ups to invest in this program. Enjoy the past. Hopefully I'm wrong and the new president makes things right but as of right now miami hurricanes football is dead.

Or just move on like a lot of us have.

Players had their cars keyed and tires slashed at Florida State a month ago, but yet they signed a bunch of 5 stars. Your argument is invalid.

I understand...by any means necessary...i think a protest at the spring game will be an effective message... I just don't want the kids i was planning on bringing to the spring game to see the display and have a bad taste put in their mouths...

Hopefully the kids know to commit to the University and not the coach. I saw a bunch of kids commit to Jim Mora today, and they'll be upset in the next year or so. It works both ways.

They are kids it is hard for them to separate the two

We're dealing with the worst administration in America. Toxicity is EXACTLY what is needed.

The theme of the OP was to direct anger at the administration, not the coach. We can accomplish that by embarrassing the **** out of them at the spring game...which we will.

Its okay, players rather go to FSU and have their tires slashed instead of being called names by 20 Hurricants fans.

Do you guys realize the last time we won a bowl game Kirby Freeman was our QB? Let that sink in for a minute. Why would any recruit want to play here?

FYI, my point is not that we shouldn't protest, fly banners, and light fires in order to show the UM admin our disgust with the current state of affairs. My point is rather that I'm way, way past being upset at the Fat *******. I was VERY upset with him for a while, but then realized that my hatred and anger would be better directed to the administration that extended him for 1000 years for doing nothing and that now refuses to fire him (or, amazingly, even to force his hand to make staff changes). Eventually, once it's clear someone is ******* miserably bad at their job, you realize that the fault lies with the leadership that retains the incompetent employee. Fat Al is a piece of **** coach, maybe the worst in America. That will never change. It's on our ******* program for not identifying that sooner and putting him out to graze.

Wait, you wouldn't be okay with firing Golden?

Uknowwhat:

With all due deference, in my opinion, the University already dropped the ball on the 2016 class by retaining Al Golden. Regardless of whether or not Golden is fired at the end of next year, I think few Miami fans are fazed at the prospect of losing a bunch of 2016 kids when compared to the immediate necessity of removing Al Golden (and his enablers) from the program we love. Mostly, this is simply because many of us don't really believe that the 2016 class, great kids that they may be, will materialize as advertised, especially considering the way 2015 just went, with 15+ de-commitments.

The venom will continue, the seats will stay empty; Al Golden as head coach at Miami is an adjunct failure, and he will get fired, the only question is when. So, as fans, we'd naturally like the situation resolved as quickly as possible, in no small part to minimize the damage. And yes, the fan backlash is of course damaging itself, but it is as much a necessary evil as it is a predictable reaction to the school's ambivalence towards it's own program.

My biggest fear is that Kaaya is so good next year that we somehow manage to win 8 games despite Golden's incompetence, and then they retain the fat piece of ****. It's really sad that I have to spend another year rooting for humiliating losses for my favorite sports team.

Same thing I've been saying for months now. That fat ******* gets lucky and wins a few close games and has a mediocre 8 win season and the incompetent decision makers we have running the program are likely to give him even MORE time.

Meanwhile...Kaaya's tenure here is destined to be ruined. It's depressing as **** when you start to try and project what's going to happen to this program over the next 2-4 years. If something doesn't happen soon you may as well shut down the **** program.

Yah, let's burn down the athletic center, scorch the playing field, poison the trees. Do whatever it takes to accelerate what IS ALREADY GOING TO HAPPEN.

Bad coaches get fired. Al is a bad coach and will be fired. So all you guys are talking about is time. Golden will be gone in 9 months or so. Just relax and hang in there. You are not doing anything constructive

This year proved he was "bad." He remains employed. Only a blind person would infer from those facts that they are going to fire him next year.

That's the new rap with Folden's few remaining stragglers. They act like they want him fired, but they don't want anyone making any noise. They just assume the idiots at UM will do the right thing even though they've clearly proven they won't.
Please. Golden straggler. Ur a ******* idiot. I don't have the same dumb opinion as you. That does not make me a slurper or straggler or what ever other dumb, childish name you can conjure.

I just find these tactics comical. This false sense of importance and impact that folks walk around with. You are not moving the needle on him getting fired. I have a real problem with people doing "whatever it takes". That **** is wreckless. People do crazy things, especially when in a mob.

Man, there is no way, NONE, that he can win 6 games and stay. He has to win the conference to gain the fan base back, which he won't do. This is his Brady Hoke year. Nobody comes back from this. He should already be gone.

seats will always be empty no matter what team we have out there

I'm willing to bet money right now that if he wins 8 games next year he'll get more time.

Rooting for losses has never been a more "real Canes fan" thing to do than it is THIS SEASON. We play in a ****** conference and he could conceivably luck his way into a few close wins and then beat the bad teams on the schedule and get to 8 wins.

I'll be rooting to lose every week next season...and in doing so I'm rooting FOR the program.
