I can't understand the hate. We're grown *** men here. But I've been reflecting. Maybe I've been flaunting my culturally eclectic Miami lifestyle to much and it's not going over well with a certain crowd...

The site I check is based on cases & test numbers. We haven't increased testing lately (compared to a month ago). Positive infection rate had gotten down to under 3% for a while. Doubled now. No idea on the beds. That's what matters most.

Do you know? I don't have access to that and nobody is putting up info anymore. My county has had 3 straight days of highest cases yet. I'm not a sheep but I also know it's going back up (not due to testing).

Thing about this, is that we'll never really know if the shutdown was needed or not. One thing's for sure, people will ridicule the shutdown once all is said and done. Regardless of whether it actually helped or not.

I don't disagree about that. I think we all thought a temporary shut down was warranted until we started to figure this thing out.

We now know who are the vulnerable targets and we know majority of folks will get it and be fine.

The continued shut down in some states is more about politics and really has nothing to do with science or the data.

They didn't help by suggesting the open up protesters were going to kill your grandma then applauding the other protesters. That's what really made it seem less than genuine.

Not worth further going down this road, multiple studies indicate isolation and quarantine waste of time and resources.

Multiple studies also indicate we are all going to die if we don't go full bubble suits.

With all the intense and close quarter protesting, rioting, and looting we don't have the walking dead.

I've already gave my opinion (that we'll never really know if it actually helped or not). I was asking if your opinion was based on facts/something recently put out. All those close quarter protesters didnt run to the hospital to get tested...which is why people called B.S. when some media credited the protests to "a sharp rise in infections". Shutting down everything was supposed to SLOW the spread so that hospitals aren't bombarded with patients. It wasnt meant to stop the sky from falling and "prevent everyone from dying". I've worn a mask maybe 7 times in the midst of this outbreak. But continue to think everyone that proposes a counter thought as "hysterical chicken littles".
