Isn't that why you recruit and sign someone?

Agreed but so many teams are going to gun for him as he seems plug and play ready to be a very good college QB.Maalik
Brock Berlin was straight up bad. In his 7 career games vs FSU/UF/VT he had 5 TD's & 17 turnovers. That's as ugly as it gets.Still remember at games where he didn't play well and our fans screaming, Brock's a crock."

Are those really his stats lol that’s crazy how that UF game changed everything for himBrock Berlin was straight up bad. In his 7 career games vs FSU/UF/VT he had 5 TD's & 17 turnovers. That's as ugly as it gets.
We just had a killer defense that bailed him out. Berlin was great for the last 20 minutes of the Florida game though.
I agree. He always looked better in gun/spread looks but we forced him into bro-style. Kyle Wright too (though to a lesser extent). I think we win a natty in 2003 with a more imaginative Offensive Coordinator. Our defense that year was unreal.Brock Berlin was straight up bad. Yea I see no chance here. Have to imagine Bama, USC, LSU and a few others will come calling. If Tua brother was getting those offers can't imagine what this guy gets. I'd be impressed if we were even able to match the offer.Agreed but so many teams are going to gun for him as he seems plug and play ready to be a very good college QB.
I’ve been a bit reserved on the “portal will fix everything at QB” talk around here for this reasonYea I see no chance here. Have to imagine Bama, USC, LSU and a few others will come calling. Malik might get $8M-$10M. I imagine it will be quite the bidding war.I’ve been a bit reserved on the “portal will fix everything at QB” talk around here for this reason
Yes people are correct. Yes we will portal for a QB. But to pretend it’s going to be that simple is astonishing. I am optimistic though but it will be a bloodbath
We talk about how performance on the field matters so much for this 2024 class, and while that’s true, I think you could say it’s maybe even more critical for us to show out on offense to entice a portal QB to come here because we are in deep **** after TVD leaves (at the moment)Malik might get $8M-$10M. I imagine it will be quite the bidding war.
This is a fall practiSe thread about the team that’s playing NEXT FRIDAY
We have 3 QBs on the team RIGHT NOW that are PLAYING
And here’s you. So desperate to have your feelings heard that you’ll use a PractiSe thread to trash a kid that will be 4 on our depth chart NEXT YEAR
I don’t **** with people like you so I’m not reading your nonsense
When you get on the bus to go to work today tell the old lady on her way to the grocery store that Judd doesn’t deserve a scholly
Catching the ball is the bare minimum lol are they creating consistent separation and making plays after the catchNot sure your take is accurate. Clearly, our OL and DL are major upgrades over last year. Glaring upgrades, universally epic upgrades. That may overshadow the WR position group but I've have some folks on the ground that tell me the WR's are responding WAAAAAY better than last year and years past. Drops are not as common on easy balls. I've been told that most of the drops are from guys laying out for balls. Unlike in years past where the ball would literally hit the guy in the numbers and drop the pass. Don't sleep on the WR room this year. Pate is also not going to comment on everything, just the major stuff. OL and DL upgrades is "major stuff." GO CANES
It seems like it comes more naturally to Emory. All of it; mental and the throwing part
They get paid the big bucks and my wife makes more money than me so hey lol
17 turnovers. OMG, that's terrible! Are those really his stats lol that’s crazy how that UF game changed everything for him
Spurrier said it best "only 25% of high quality HS QB's can make the adjustment to D1 speed". So if high quality and elite HS recruits have a high failure rate due to the speed of the D1 game (and the loaded rosters of D1 teams) ... what chance does a project QB have?Fact is, a lot of successful HS QB's excelled due to physical abilities.
At next level - gotta be able to snap-see the entire field, think real fast and still make good decisions to take what the defense gives you - and they all give something. Just gotta find it - fast.
@DMoney I know you get hammered with injury questions but is there anyone that’s at risk of missing the A&M game ? It seems this fall camp has been pretty good to us (unlike the gators who have been obliterated) but I know we are also camp banged up a bit, care to shed any light on who’s “camp banged up” going into week 1?Banged up. Nothing major although there is always mystery with injuries. He looks like a future stud based on what he’s shown when healthy.
I'll go but I'm going for the beer only
