  • Dabo’s schtick is annoying but he’s been an elite CEO for that program and has a pair of NC rings to prove it.
  • Novel is way overrated. Credit given for wise use of the portal but predict will be mid in the long term.
  • Mack Brown should send $500K to Vince Young every Christmas.
  • Mario stumbled bad last season but I believe will rebound.
  • Narduzi, Clawson, and Doeren are interchangeable. They are solid HCs who might actually win something if hired by an elite program.
  • We’ll see about Brohm.
  • Elko had a solid Year 1 but can he sustain? Maybe he’ll end up in the Narduzzi-Clawson-Doeren class, or jump to a bigger job.
  • There’s little hope at Syracuse, BC, UVA, VT, and GT.

Spot on. This Norvell/FSU hype bubble is going to be glorious when it blows up. Normally you have to be in the SEC to get THIS much slurpage off ONE "good" year and a year that actually contained some really bad losses too.

If it's careers that means ur discounting 87 years of being nothing but average out of mack. I like mack. He's a class act and a solid guy. But he's not #2 just cause he struck gold with Vince... If Coker was still here would u make him #1 or #2? I have no problem with Mack being top 5 and definitely in front of norvell. But he shouldn't be in front of narduzzi or Mario. That's just my opinion though. I don't really take issue over him. Just disagree how high.

I mean let’s talk about Norvell being #2 after he lost to JSU

He wasn’t that bad of a coach we knew that, also don’t think he’s #2 in the conference either

I'm still sticking him at 2, but as per usual, I respect your opinion. Better win percentage than Mario or Narduzzi and a better bowl game percentage. I think Mack is in the twilight of his career so I wouldn't pick him if that was part of the ranking. To me, Mack was like OSU's Cooper. He couldn't get over the him, then Vince happened. That's football sometimes, just that one guy puts you over the top.
 
Dude is ahead of Clawson. Hahahahajahahaha. IN WHAT ******* WORLD is mario better than Clawson.

Not fair, for now. There is an element of pointlessness comparing leaders in settings with such different levels of investment in football success. I am not saying any of these guys are more likely to win a title in their current jobs in the next 5 years, but I think it is tough to justify Mario being in front of Narduzzi, Doern, and Clawson. If Brohm and Elko beat him this year, it would be tough to put him in front of either of them. Until he strings together some 9+ win seasons here and gets that career mark up anyway. So far he is a good fundraiser, above average recruiter, a bad staff builder, and isn’t an x and o guy which probably aren’t enough boxes ticked to be considered top 3rd of the conference at this point.
 
Now that regular season two is in the books, how are we feeling about these rankings with another year of data?

We finished 5th in the coastal and tied for the 9th best record in the conference.
