We're about to enter the heart of recruiting season for the next three months. Here is the latest from the Hecht:

- While Texas A&M should be considered the favorite, Miami remains in contact with OT Mark Matthews (St. Thomas Aquinas). The Canes are also in contact with OT Oluwasemilore Olubobola (Jersey City, NJ). Both of those situations could move fast.

- In terms of the big name guys, communication is particularly strong with CB Gabe Osborne (Oklahoma City, OK) and DT David Folorunsho (Chicago, IL).

LSU remains a major threat in the recruitment of Houston (Texas) Langham Creek Top247 defensive lineman Ezekiel Ayangbile. He visited this past weekend, and the trip couldn't have gone better. Don't be shocked if he comes off the board soon. The Tigers are in a heated battle with Miami, Kentucky, Duke, and a few others. Right now, it's a battle between LSU and Miami.

LSU and IU tryna win battles with first mover’s advantage. Going to be a long summer.

He was hanging around Jaiden Bryant and DJ Jacobs a lot on his Miami unofficial and seems to be tight with Xavier Muhammad. Him and Bryant are scheduled to OV at Miami the same last of May weekend.

I doubt Loy’s reporting, about him coming off the board soon, because I can’t see a child of two high level athletes rushing such a consequential decision.

Plus, he hasn’t visited VT yet. He isn’t just a double legacy—his mom’s parent(s?) went there too iirc.

That young man is all VT.
No way he's coming to UM.

Mom likely had im when at vt as an athlete with brown. ...n i see her posted "as a single mom". I N REGARDS TO THE SONS RECRUITMENT.

yea based on his name i thought maybe he was adopted or step son.

But naw realize its his bio son and he is involved. We likely have a chance but **** that vt will be strong with him being a legacy and then vt hc can recruit as well.

Facts. That’s why it was so surprising to me to see a national reporter not even mention them amongst the top teams.
 


A decision is anticipated in the near future.

Miami has been setting the pace in Ayangbile’s recruitment ever since his first visit out to campus earlier this spring.

“There was very little downside to that visit. They’re coming in strong in my recruitment and that could ultimately be the place for me right now. It definitely would be a place I can thrive,” Ayangbile said. “Miami, there were very few things I saw that would make me question the school. I know what they do on the D-line and how they develop players, without question.” “There are plenty of opportunities there, I love the people and the campus, and I have a good connection with several of the players, he continued. “Every last one of the coaches, they’re great people I can genuinely be myself around and who’ll embrace me as a player and person. Coach Lewis went in-home with me and recently came down to talk to me. He told me that I play like a Hurricane, I move like a Hurricane, I act like a Hurricane … That’s an excellent group of players and coaches. I love the way they’ve embraced me and how Coach Cristobal texts me everyday. They’re chasing greatness and it’s awesome.”
