WVU averaged 507 yards per game this season.

We held them to 229. Less than half.

Similarly they averaged nearly 33 points per game and scored 14, but honestly the yardage total speaks to how masterfully they were held in check.

Crown the Kid.

I'm just going to come out and admit I have a man-crush on Jackson. He's going to be an absolute beast, just look at the guy...a true freshman!!!

I think someone mentioned it before he reminds me of Jevon Kearse when he was at Florida.

Our D played lights out last night. El Jefe called a masterpiece of a game.

Joe Jack is a freak. Kool is foaming at the mouth getting to coach him and our other studs and incoming freaks.

Horgelsen said after the game that the Canes D was the best they faced all year.

Defense dominated and kept the team in the game until Rick and Kaaya woke up. Almost any other year if we kept repeatedly going 3 and out and giving up that sort of field position we would have taken a shaming.

Defense never buckled though. Never saw an "Oh fck this ****" moment where they got frustrated with the offense, sagged and the dam broke.

If I was playing defense my resolve would have been severely tested watching KC McDermott play LT.

Amazing how your secondary looks great when your front four dominate
The entire dl came to play... every one of them

I can't wait to see what this defense grows into in year 3 .... scary for the rest of the ACC and college football in general.
