We lost a game everyone agrees we should have won.

But being smart and aggressive can substantially accelerate the maturation process. I believe Manny is both.

We set ourselves up to fail with absurd expectations for a first year HC, freshman QB, freshman O-line, and inexperienced secondary.

Manny himself is learning that winning is HARD.

Nobody wants a reality check. But the great ones learn and grow.

Let’s see if Manny has the potential to be great (in an almost absurdly short time window).

I, for one, think he does.

Even if you don’t, go support the **** out of this team. You just may be wrong. (And if you’re right, fly the banners next year on sound evidence that Manny ain’t got what it takes - like charmin-soft Coker, schematically and organizationally challenged Shannon, and stubborn *** Al Golden).

I love hiring a coach in training. What year does he become a full fledge head coach with no training wheels?

I laid it out multiple times.

I realize you are a functional ******.

UNC is losing to Clemson. That is 1 ACC game.

They are losing to another Coastal team. That is 2

We do not play a single team on our schedule with more talent than us going forward and our hardest games are at home.

The great ones become great through failure. The difference between the great ones and mediocre ones is how they push through adversity.

Until we do I wont assume so. We could have beaten UNC no?

I also dont think UNC rolls through the Coastal either. Long season ahead.

Your premise for Miami getting back in the hunt is above...

AND of course our Canes not dropping a single other ACC contest.

That about sum it up buttercup?

You are optimistic, I'll give you that.

I didn't say easy. We certainly dug a hole for ourselves. I just don't feel it's significantly harder. Before the season started, most thought we would loss one maybe two that we probably shouldn't and the consensus was that we'd end up 9-3. I personally thought 10-2. Well, we've eliminated our margin of error.

I've looked at the Coastal results since the ACC started divisional play. More often not, the division winner had 2 or more conference losses. Often, the division winner had 3 conference loses. That's even with VT being dominate from about 2005 to 2010. There's no dominant team now. We just need to take care of our business and win one game at a time and then see where things are in November.

You write the check for 7mil/yr and Blake will go hire your guy.

The U ain’t broke, but they don’t have a Clemson/SEC football budget. We start winning and revenue will blow up and then we can get back to competing on that level. Ironically, there’s all this hate for Blake, but Dee is really the guy that turned the Ferrari into a Yugo.

Manny was a fair shot to get a homegrown superstar.

There’s a lot to hate about the first two games... but there’s also some real positive signs/trends that get overshadowed in defeat.

LOL, kinda-sorta works. Significantly to me means an order of magnitude harder, one step away from impossible. Seeing how the Coastal has gone over the years, it will probably take another conference loss to be close to impossible. Even then it's been done ... numerous times.

I said UF, not FSU. Dang near their whole OL is brand new along w several new DLmen. We were so confident our DL would eat them alive.

Again, regarding UNC, I think u need to look at their starting depth chart and compare. They have less experience than us on offense. Our defense is about even for experience, EXCEPT for they have a former QB now playing LB and that said QB stopped us on 4th & short
