Evidence Njoku

He was good enough to be at Miami..a kid with that type of talent I wonder how much he loved the game..wish him the neat

Tight end depth should be solid for next year. Might need a transfer at WR or the freshman should be ready for some spot duty

We got to be in the high 60’s right now in terms of the roster scholarship numbers which is incredibly low for a power 5 program.

It’s going to be a problem going forward for sure. It might start being a problem for all programs eventually but at least other programs are close to 85. Miami is entering the free for all transfer era with 65-75 Scholarship players.

The rules on initial counters and transfers is going to have to change. There is no advantage to being a 2nd or 3rd year player losing playing time to a younger player at a major program - those players will leave the first chance they get.

Not going to pass Thomas, Harley, Wiggins, Pope, Payton, Jordan, Mallory, possibly some incoming freshman. Hope he lands on his feet and balls out

Then if that’s going to be the case, we got room to take chances on kids who need more time to groom

Teams who don’t have shady boosters or have ways to keep highly rested recruits may have to focus a portion of each class on players who understand fully they are undeveloped and won’t be playing for 2-4 years. Might be the only way for a team like Miami to get close to 85 scholarships.

I never thought about it this way but maybe this is part of the reason a program like Clemson prides itself on the number of players who get to play snaps each game. It might not just be fully utilizing and specializing a roster - it probably helps keep depth players.

Njoku was nasty in 2018 Camp (which led to targets versus LSU). A scout said he looked like a future high draft pick.

His issues were injuries and focus.

Yep, heard he was lazy, too. That one is subjective but the willingness to apply one's self applies with him. It's a shame b/c he has the physical makeup to be dominant.
