You don’t want to discuss his Oregon team getting blown out… twice… by Utah?
Are you changing the topic? The claim was that he needs 2001 Miami talent to beat MTSU. Did he need that talent to beat Ohio State?

People have said it was a talent issue. They said we didn’t have a good enough cb to cover the mtsu wr one on one among other things. They also want half the team to enter the portal…. I believe there is also a “zero talent-zero” thread, that might be a good place to see examplesOur talent does suck. But no one has said we didn't have enough talent to beat those teams. We lost for a multitude of reasons.
So zero talent now means (according to you) that it’s good enough to beat MTSU and Duke. Which would then mean that those teams had negative talent, which would be the only thing possible lower that zero talent.
The more that you speak, the less rational your argument is. Zero is zero, meaning that they are the worst of the worst.
No doubt about it. Hence why I started this thread. Coaching and scheme greatly matters in today’s college football. It’s the only way that way lesser talented teams can compete with way more talented ones.Brohm is better than any coach’s e have currently.
Dude knows how to call offense.
Yes he relied on a talented team full of highly ranked recruits to beat Ohio State. Are you changing the topic? The claim was that he needs 2001 Miami talent to beat MTSU. Did he need that talent to beat Ohio State?
Really? Zero talent means zero talent.Wait, what? You're taking a phrase like "zero talent" literally?
Yes he relied on a talented team full of highly ranked recruits to beat Ohio State.
Are you suggesting he needs a similarly talented team to not get embarrassed by MTSU? Or Duke? Or Pittsburgh?
…Purdue is in the B1G championship game with 4 former walk-ons in the starting lineup that are impact players, and giving Michigan a heck of a game so far.
But according to some on this board, “wE dIdN’t hAvE eNoUgH tAlEnT” to beat the likes of MTSU, Duke, Pitt, and a terrible aTm.
Really? Zero talent means zero talent.
The thread that you quoted had this gem, “Manny left the cupboard as bare as it could be.”
I am not misreading or misunderstanding anything. The poster literally said that Manny left Mario zero talent to work with.
Please stop being intellectually dishonest.
I never said or implied that, you did. You’re right, with the right scheme, we’d be in the playoff this year and Brown would be up for heisman…GTFOH man
List all of the teams Miami played this year where the opposing team was significantly more talented than UM.Miami fans - Stars and recruiting rankings don't matter look at Ed Reed.
Also Miami Fans- We should have won 10 games this year easy. Look at all talented 4 stars we have.
You cannot be this hard headed. Zero is zero, not a little or a bit. It means zilch, nada, zippo, nothing. The poster did not say “minimal talent” or “mediocre talent”, he said zero talent.Come on, man. That's lame. If we're going to play the literal game this is going to get ugly.
This team has major problems- both inside and outside the white lines. That’s bullshyt. Lots of posters said for the better part of this season that our talent was way overrated, and saying that players should transfer, including TVD.
Only in the past 4 or 5 weeks did the narrative change to “Gattis sucks.”
In fact, there are still some posters saying that our players were selfish and not good enough.
THIS! It depends so much how you define Talent. If you stop at physical and athletic attributes and natural ability to perform, yeah we better than a lot of the teams we've lost to. (but) WE DO NOT PERFORM... coaches can only help so much when the above listed desirable attributes, as well as football-FOCUS, are often short or missing for half the guys, or more. This team has been massively devoid off talent.
The problem is that we are looking for a skill that can’t be measured.
Cliches like discipline, heart, effort, desire, brotherhood, selflessness, might be some sht we see in motivational seminars.
Discipline is a talent
Heart is a talen
Selflessness is a talent
We’ve had plenty of 4.5-4.4 guys that barely studied or won’t take a block for a walk on.
That sht ain’t gonna work here anymore.
That skill set has gotten plenty of players to the nfl that lacked physical talents.
And the lack of those skills has a lot of freak athletes doing other things besides football.
I agree. I’m not disputing that. But it all starts at the top. This team has major problems- both inside and outside the white lines.

Way to move the goalposts.
