Also Miami Fans- We should of won 10 games this year easy. Look at all talented 4 stars we have.

People have said it was a talent issue. They said we didn’t have a good enough cb to cover the mtsu wr one on one among other things. They also want half the team to enter the portal…. I believe there is also a “zero talent-zero” thread, that might be a good place to see examples

No doubt about it. Hence why I started this thread. Coaching and scheme greatly matters in today’s college football. It’s the only way that way lesser talented teams can compete with way more talented ones.

I am not misreading or misunderstanding anything. The poster literally said that Manny left Mario zero talent to work with.

Please stop being intellectually dishonest.

I never said or implied that, you did.

What I am saying is that our record at worst should have been 8-4. The losses to MTSU, Duke and aTm were inexcusable and a diarrhea fest. I’m being generous and not even including the Pitt debacle. No UM team with this amount of returning and new talent has ever looked this inept. This is a fact, not conjecture.

List all of the teams Miami played this year where the opposing team was significantly more talented than UM.

Clemson… that’s it.

The Mario Apologists are going to cling to the narrative that Mario was simply a victim of having the least talented roster in all of FBS apparently.

You cannot be this hard headed. Zero is zero, not a little or a bit. It means zilch, nada, zippo, nothing. The poster did not say “minimal talent” or “mediocre talent”, he said zero talent.

This team has major problems- both inside and outside the white lines.

We’ve had plenty of 4.5-4.4 guys that barely studied or won’t take a block for a walk on.
That sht ain’t gonna work here anymore.

That skill set has gotten plenty of players to the nfl that lacked physical talents.
And the lack of those skills has a lot of freak athletes doing other things besides football.

THIS! It depends so much how you define Talent. If you stop at physical and athletic attributes and natural ability to perform, yeah we better than a lot of the teams we've lost to. (but) WE DO NOT PERFORM... coaches can only help so much when the above listed desirable attributes, as well as football-FOCUS, are often short or missing for half the guys, or more.
